/fit/ is generally one of the least active boards on the other sites as well. Even /fit/ on Sharty, they combined it with sports and wrestling which is what dominates the threads. So that actually boosts their numbers. Just like when seeking gains, quality not quantity.

Most of these are snake oil troll "advice", listen to them and not nutrition plans that actually work (eg the common cultural meals of those who live the longest and the healthiest; if you know, you know) at your own peril.

Or don't and enjoy your fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, and high blood cholesterol. Believe what you want, do as you please. Its your medical bills down the road.

Name one tru beliebr of the /fit/ sticky and starting strength / stronglifts broscientism "funkshunal strength!11!! we all guna make it bro11!!! t. roider who died of a heart attack in a sauna before 25" who is still healthy and strong at 50, 60, 80 vs how many, who do the opposite of what your average /fit/ GOMAD fatass and social retard, are still running marathons at 95.

Protip: being chronically lonely raises your stress hormones to permanently physically damaging levels, sperger-kwaynes. Do better. Be better.

Are you one of those retards who needs to dunk on others to feel smart? A genuinely smart person would've provided receipts and spelled out which bits of advice he felt was dangerous. A retard with a superiority complex gives out uselessly general advice and tries to contradict large numbers of people so he can say to himself "since my opinion states the masses are wrong, clearly I am being smarter than this herd" when he is really just being a stupid contrarian whose views are defined by whatever manages to disagree with what most people around him are saying. The fact that you post trash like "if you know, you know" (ie. you're trying to lord "special" knowledge over others) strongly suggests you're the kind of doofus who needs to pretend he is part of an exclusive intellectual club.

Seriously, if you have a problem with some of the advice in this thread, name what advice you think is bad and explain why like a genuinely smart person.

tl;dr fuck your glowing rectangle induced pseudo ADHD on steroids, read it or scroll on.

In engineering, as it should be elsewhere, the first step in solving a problem is in phrasing the question correctly. "How do I stop watching pornography?" is asking the wrong question. It is not the problem, it is a symptom, one of many you had no idea were all going together which will only seem obvious after going through the hard introspective work to connect all those distant dots. And declaring it "sin" or otherwise "bad" and therefore "I shouldn't do it" is a classic guilt trap to keep you locked in a vicious circle of anxiety and despair from "failing" again and again -- and you will until you figure out the mindtrap of your own making and how to extricate yourself from it.

What you are doing by asking "How do I stop watching pornography?" and trying to answer that with pseudoscience quackery like No Nut November, semen retention, and other "muh masculine energy chakra vibes" quasi-religious woo, is all the equivalent of having a persistent cough from undiagnosed throat cancer, but all you've ever done is kept consuming more and more Mucinex, Robitussin, and menthol drops which themselves cause all sorts of their own problems via side-effects and overdosing.

How's that working out for you?

So make the choice to dig deeper, the roots are underground; you are watching porn for more than one reason and they're each far more multifaceted than "I got addicted" which is in m

The only thing that worked for me after 5 years of trying was adressing my night time OCD. Then, flushing out any urge before they growth too big. "I can control it, just let me test it" the answer on a deep level has to be no.
Also, a bit of luck helped, so Good Luck to anyone trying to quit.
It's getting easier to resist this and junk food, not with self-judgmental "it's bad for me" but a far more practical "doesn't really do anything, I don't like how I feel afterwards, so why bother?" Much easier to let things fall away from me by simply not caring than to "let go". I admit I fapped this morning, but in my justification I wasn't enthusiastic (had an attitude of "this is so stupid and pointless") and wasn't even having that much fun, but was forcing myself just to make the horny quit distracting me. These episodes are getting further and further apart, and I'm feeling less and less guilty for "relapsing" as I'm worrying about it less and less. It'll go away on its own.

Which exercises have the greatest risk of injury if done incorrectly?

Running or jogging if you are a fat bastard. People forget that when you are like 100 lbs overweight you jogging is like the 100 lbs lighter version of you jogging with 100 lbs of weights strapped to his body. Your knees, including both the muscles and especially the joints, were not meant to handle that kind of strain and you can seriously fuck your knees up permanently trying to do basic jogging to get back in shape.

When you are that fat you need an honest-to-goodness exercise bike to offload all of your body weight onto that eat (better be a good one, and preferably a comfortable one as well) while you are doing that cardio. (And you obviously need to go on a diet.)

I thought about making a thread for fat fucks like myself. I recently started to lose weight myself after eating like shit for over a decade. Nothing fancy so far. Just meat, chicken and well mayba pasta or spaghetti. Like i said, nothing fancy. Its a bit difficult making recipes on a diet. Sure theres some recipes out there and ive tried a few but most turn out like shit and the calories dont seem to match up to what the recipe claims. I thought maybe us fellow fat fucks could share some tips and or recipes thats good for losing weight. Anyways. Heres my progress so far. Im getting kind of tired of eating the same shit over and over. So im starting to look into some recipes. I tried checking out mealprepmanual and that was where i ran into my problems of calories not matching what i cooked. I put togehter the recipe in cronometer and it came out like 1000 or something calories per portion when the recipe said that it would be around 700 or so calories. I dont know alot about weight loss but here some things i can recommend if you want to start
Get a calorie tracker app. I personally use cronometer because its free and it has macro tracking for free. Theres probably tons of apps out there that do the same but it just works and its popular enough that i dont have to manually scan alot of time barcodes.
Also get a gram weight scale. One of those cheap things drug dealers use. And get a normal weight scale for your normal food stuff. Its just that ive noticed some recipes in pa

Yep. Even the "best" milk is still primarily sugar water. It's just funny how much of what most people think they know about nutrition and fitness are complete myths and not only lies but the opposite of true.
Replies: >>2252
>>2250
Actually people who think that milk is bad are a minority of weirdos, the thing with milk and dairy products is that they're overrated, every single doctor suggest to drink milk and dairy products, and for example, i don't know how is on the states, but in my country the usual breakfast for a kid is a glass of milk with cocoa powder (like nesquik) and that's sold as something healthy (when you grow older you just switch to coffee, which is very unhealthy), when is not, some people think that giving kids tons of milk will improve their health, when in fact, dairy will only make you fat. You are supposed to do exercise to build the muscle, that's when milk and proteins actually help. For kids and babies, the best is to only drink water.

The lobby of the food pyramid did a lot of damage.

>Not much I know about other than "consistently fucked and abused by The Grocery Shrink Ray". I heard some schizo-rumor about corn chips having some kind of fetus-based hormone that gets people addicted to them, but I think it more has to do with their own eating habits.
That is indeed schizo as fuck. The real problem is that chips are usually made with seed oils (sunflower oil is popular) and are like 30% or more sunflower oil, which is unhealthy as shit. If you get chips made with beef tallow they're actually much healthier, don't give your stomach trouble like sunflower oil does, and legitimately taste better.

There's also a lesser risk of chlorpropham pesticide contamination in the potato. That doesn't exist with organic potatoes/chips but for the most part chlorpropham tends to gather more in the skin which usually isn't part of the chips anyway and is further decreased down to like 25% by stuff like frying.

If you're concerned just get organic chips made with beef tallow. It's pretty good stuff.

Replies: >>2231

if you mean "vegetables only" cook them right, season and salt them lightly and they'll taste good. if you mean in general, just stick them in the middle of a stew and you'll hardly notice. if you have some kind of particular mental rejection of them, you could try some kind of nuclear shock therapy like, forcing yourself to eat the worst (in your opinion) possible tasting vegetable, and then after you're so disgusted that you can't have any more try some other better tasting one, which by comparison will taste way better. this is all I can come up off the top of my head idk I like veggies.

Should be, and you can always find additional areas to sprinkle exercise into. Such as when you need to poop, squat up and down 15-20 times above the toilet seat keeping your cheeks from touching the seat before you finally sit down.

What are good sources on body weight workouts? I assume you need good technique to see gains from them is that right? Or it's more about being consistent with them?

Friend of mine does keto and works out. He says it's pretty good for burning fat and being healthy. Dude doesn't seem to have any problems with it.

The main issue is that you really have to be careful about counting your carbs though. It takes like at least a full day for your body to enter ketosis so if you fuck up your keto by taking too much carb (or enough protein your body breaks the excess down into glucose/sugar) you are fucking up your keto for days on end.

If you ask me though you can replicate most of the benefits of keto just by going on a plain meat & vegetables diet. I suspect a large amount of keto's benefits come not from what keto does for you but rather what you end up avoiding in the process of doing keto. Some of these benefits you mention seem reminiscent of the benefits of the carnivore diet to me.
