There's no such thing as a true democracy, no matter what there will always be a dictator. Besides that why the fuck would you think  an illusion is better and even if IF there was a way for democracy to truly work why would you trust ignorant masses to be able to vote without going into high school popularity contest mode.

The real issue is, why don't they just cut the whole issue off at the source: Just ban ninjas.
