I've caught up. Last issue was put out four months ago. The latest issues have increasingly low quality as the troon continually takes shortcuts by limiting the color palette. The story may be well beyond the halfway point now though. Various plot threads are finally tying together and things are coming to a head with some likely giant conflict for the "identity of humanity". "humanity" is actually one giant eldritch abomination trapped in mortal bodies by special psychic radiation put in place by the Gods. If this radiation is blocked out, a person will lose their sense of individuality and life as a human will seem to have simply been a strange dream. Exceptionally few things can halt or harm it, and even less has any chance of turning someone back. Merely looking some of the thing can remind people of what they are inside, beginning the transformation. There's a giant mass of it in an ancient space station on the moon, it's gotten out, and it's hard for the government(s ?) to keep people from looking at the moon.
