Setting aside the completely fallacious nature of your assertion, your 2hus aren't nearly as difficult as you think they are.  I would rate most of them somewhere around a 4 to 6 out of 10 on a scrolling shooter difficulty scale.  One time to prove a point to a fag like you on an image board, I requested one of the more challenging entries in the series and then beat it fresh in the span of a couple days.

By the way I should add that there's nothing wrong with an easy scrolling shooter (to a certain extent).  Karous is quite easy to simply clear, but it's a compelling game because unlike Touhou it has actual level design and a scoring system designed in sync with it.  Your interest in the genre is just so comically insecure that you think apparent difficulty excuses lazy half-assed level design.

I'm very sorry you, as a Touhou fan, have such low standards, but for the rest of us who actually partake in everything the scrolling shooter genre offers the idea that ZUN actually sells his games for money is comical.  In fact there's no need to even expand the comparison to the entire genre: There are an enormous number of PC doujin and even Western shooters with comparable developer resources as ZUN that are far above the quality of Touhou.  In fact there are even Touhou parody games that are better than ZUN's low-effort junk.

"Low effort" is absolutely the right phrase for them: decades passed and ZUN never progressed beyond flat static placeholder graphics to represent projectiles and items, in 20 years he never managed to learn how to design levels.  Shooter artists thought it might be a cool idea to animate bullets all the way back in the mid-'80s, but ZUN just kept on using his placeholder graphics.

original touhou games? lol, I don't think touhou fans actually play any of them. I simply can't imagine that, the average "long-time toho fan excited to play it for the first time" will turn it off after a few tries. They just like touhou because it is cool and leet, gets you big points on imageboards. You can't say bad things about such super sacred setting and anyone who disagrees is an instant enemy. It was the most "otaku normalfag" thing ever before gachashit took over everything (this one will hurt) for japanoids. For westerners, again, a badge of status.
