>Because it doesn't matter if you are in the middle of a nuclear holocaust or are commenting under a video talking about a political scandal or a major historical event, because nothing matters more than GTA6 release date, as that game is the biggest cultural event on the planet, the center of the universe, and what people are giving priority over their own existence, no matter what happens in the real world. and not just a fucking mediocre video game releasing, as you might argue :^)
>Spamming this forced meme for years will make anticipation build for when the game is ready for release. (Eventually, the plebs will repeat this forced meme themselves, doing the job for us)
This is effective because normalfags try to give time meaning through waiting for product releases together. They threw out or watered down all the ways their cultures participated in grand cycles of religious, mythological, astronomical, seasonal, and historical events. In their place, they have non-events no one cares about for any reason beyond an extra day off work, such as Labor Day. All year long they eat the same foods, wear the same clothes, and ride the same vehicles. Even the cycles of day and night are barely taken notice of, as their homes are lit for as long as they please, and their streets glow all night long. All they have left to differentiate time are the need for sleep, breaks from work, family dinners they complain about, and days for buying products.
Thus they set down product release dates and wait for them like fasters before a feast. They tell themselves and each other what a difference the product will make in their lives, how much meaning they will find in it, and how it will be everything they possibly dreamed of. They place so much weight on everything they wait for that they are almost always disappointed, even if they don't admit it. Even when the product does turn out unexpectedly good and satiates them for a moment, soon the hunger returns. They cannot live inside Star Wars the way their ancestors could live inside days, seasons, stars, centuries, millennia, myths, and religions, and neither can we.
