"Dominion of Darkness” is a strategy text game in which the player takes on the role of a Sauron-style Lord of Darkness with the goal of conquering the world. He will carry out his plans by making various decisions. He will build his army and send it into battles, weave intrigues and deceptions, create secret spy networks and sectarian cults, recruit agents and commanders, corrupt representatives of Free Peoples and sow discord among them, collect magical artifacts and perform sinister plots. Note – one game takes about 1 hour, but the premise is that the game can be approached several times, each time making different decisions, getting different results and discovering something new.

Game is avalaible for free, online: https://adeptus7.itch.io/dominion

I am constantly improving the game, adding new content and mechanics, so Your feedback would matter.

If you are hesitant to play the game, I invite you to watch/listen to the reviews:

Dude it's a fucking spam thread for a Depression Quest knockoff. Maybe you should play an actual video game sometime, or at least go back to c[uck|ake]chan you fake lolicon.

Yes, I published info about the game in many places. What's wrong with it, if all of those are places where such posts are allowed?

See? You see a text based game and your mind immediately goes to some slut from a decade old eceleb slapfight. You know how crazy that is?

Being a soulless shill is frowned upon here. If you want people to pay attention to what you have to offer instead of spamming porn to get you to fuck off, you should try to explain what makes your game special instead of leading with whatever ChatGPT told you would make good marketing copy and a link to a store page.
>>243204
>You know how crazy that is?
Less crazy than giving an drive-by marketer the benefit of the doubt. And yes, I am inherently prejudiced against Twine "games" because of the near-zero effort making one requires. At least write it in Inform or something and build in a level of interactivity better than a Choose Your Own Adventure book before pretending what you've excreted is a video game.

Since this is gonna get like 100 posts then die, are we ever doing S4 again?

>you should try to explain what makes your game special instead of leading with whatever ChatGPT told you would make good marketing copy and a link to a store page

Ummm... I tried.Maybe I lost, but I definitely tried. And I haven't use ChatGPT even once in my life. Mostly because when I tried to run it, it demanded my mobile number and I hate giving my mobile number.

BTW, I am not shill. I wrote it once and I will wrote again - game is free. Was, is, will be. My main motivation is feedback, not money. So maybe I am stupid, stinky or whatever, but I am definitely not a shill.

"build in a level of interactivity better than a Choose Your Own Adventure book"
I am not to judge if this is better, but it is definitely more mechanically developed than typical CYOA game. I don't know why You assume that fact that game is written in Twine means low level of interactivity.

Yes, this is one of the many, many places I published this or similar info. What's the problem?

>You're really fucking retarded

I will not argue with it.

>and probably mentally incapable of writing an entertaining text game

PROBABLY! So how about actually playing the game and verify it, instead of speculating?

> Fuck off and die.

Thanks for an advice. But not today.
>>243216
Well, Switch is not my target. But it should run on anything which is able to run a browser.

Cool. First, should have led with that instead of whatever "professional" thing you thought would get people to subscribe to your newsletter. Second, you should have hucked yourself over to the /agdg/ thread, since you've developed at least something vaguely resembling a game and we're desperately short of those. Then you could have gotten feedback instead of ridicule.
>I don't know why You assume that fact that game is written in Twine means low level of interactivity.
Because I've only ever seen two kinds of "Twine games": disgusting tumblr garbage and vehicles for text smut from someone with an underserved fetish and no art skills. Neither of these tend to have a lot of engaging gameplay, except maybe Free Cities.

> Cool. First, should have led with that instead of whatever "professional" thing you thought would get people to subscribe to your newsletter.

Well, original post initatied discussion, so it fullfilled its purpose :) Tahnks You very much digging int the topic and giving me opportunity to present wider aspects of the game.

> Second, you should have hucked yourself over to the /agdg/ thread, since you've developed at least something vaguely resembling a game and we're desperately short of those.

Thank You very much for the info! Well, I saw video games at the top of the list of boards, so I assumed it is good place to post. And I am not sure if now it would be OK to post in another board, especially if people here for some reason are angry that I already posted it at another sites...

> Because I've only ever seen two kinds of "Twine games": disgusting tumblr garbage and vehicles for text smut from someone with an underserved fetish and no art skills. Neither of these tend to have a lot of engaging gameplay, except maybe Free Cities.

Well, I think that my game is smut-free. Well, there are options like choosing consort or seducing enemy, but they are optional, not in the spotlight and not graphic. Just some of the many, many options you have during the game.
>>243220
>>243220

And if by "tumblr garbage" You mean some fashionable "muh feelings" stream of consciousness, than I can promise that this is definitely not direction I am interested in.
>>243220
How the fuck are you supposed to play that? I thought it was like Beatmania at first, but then the curves and long green lines appeared.
>>243239
It's played on one long touch pad instead of a series of buttons. You touch the areas of the pad that correlate to the screen. You slide your hand along the pad for the sliding motions. The arrows indicate whether you tap the pad toward the screen or away. There's also a variation of the game made by Marvelous thats a completely circle around the screen.

Personally, I didn't care for those types of games due to the lack of feedback/response. I found that you can press almost anywhere in the general "area" of the note, looking like a spaz in the process, and still "Ace" the song.
>>243239
That's Chunithm, the controller is a touchpad with IR cameras/optos to register your hand hovering over the control panel. Shit's wild, I had to do a double take the first time I saw one and there was luckystar, happy happy flens and Cirno's Perfect Math Class on the same tracklist.
>>243239

You play with mouse, blue text are avalaible options, You click one of them to make a decision,
In case it wasn't painfully obvious from the start that OP is not from around here and only came to advertise, him namefagging and being unable to understand that >>243239 was talking about the game in the video should be proof enough.
How the fuck did you even find this place?
Replies: >>243296
>>243291
Yes of course I am not from here and I am not hiding it,, because why? If there will not be new users, there will be no any users, never. So no need for any proof.

No, I am not only here to advertise and discussion. AMA and I will gadly answer.

> being unable to understand that >>243239 was talking about the game in the video

Oh, sorry, this thing was actually really my fault. Thanks for pointing it.

> him namefagging

OP is not my mine, seriously. I just use it for clarity here. It this is so problematic, I can stop and start every post with "OP here" instead.
Replies: >>243308
First off, congrats on making a game. I hope it succeeds.
Second, I understand that you want to promote your game on as many websites as possible, but you really shouldn't do that unless you've lurked on each website first... Every place has its rules and, more importantly, culture. Ignoring this fact won't get you far.
Typically anons don't start a thread for a game they made, especially if it's their first game or a work in progress. You are no different in this case; you should have posted in the /agdg/ thread >>231536 then, if your game gains a lot of traction, you could start a separate thread for it.
Good luck and lurk more, friend
