awesome, I'll be there

Not to spread FUD but isn't this the site that was used to get a hold of the retarded tvch board owner's IP and call the feds on him? Should people be made aware to block all external images and CSS? Of course people ought to be using VPN's in the first place but I know many anons do not.
Replies: >>25
>>24
I haven't had problems so far, but I think as long as you don't log in, you're fine.
I will probably have to use a VPN though.
Replies: >>26
>>25
If I recall correctly it was said it had to do with dolphin putting some custom CSS or custom image into the chat that needed to load from one of his websites, which when loaded gave him the IP of whoever was in the room to load it. This site for example doesn't allow board owners to load CSS or images from outside the site to prevent this issue from occurring. I'm not familiar with cytube but if loading things like custom css and images is restricted to the owner of the room then it's less of a concern, but still something I think people should be aware of since the technologically retarded might blunder.
Replies: >>29
>>26
>gahogre wasn't even using a VPN
i expected him to be smarter than this
this is today right?
I think I might join just that I have an aversion to cytube as of late so could I just configure ublock or something similar to block the IP grabbing scripts?
Replies: >>52
>>51
uMatrix would be better to get acquainted with. You can block all external CSS and images. But really if you have to ask you'd be better off just using a VPN. Cytube can be set up to point to just about anywhere I think so even the media itself could point to an individual streaming server and be used to grab viewers IP's. So you should make sure you're only accepting external scripts from jewgle servers or sites you're familiar with. Like I said, for most it's probably simpler to just be using a VPN.

Would you lads like a public announcement for movie nights? I don't know how many people actually read the newsposts but if you want the free advertising I'm down.
Replies: >>59 >>77

Would be cool if announcements could show up in the top bar between "Manage" and "Settings". Then the entire site would see the latest move/game night or important announcements regardless of which page they're on.

Jschan doesn't have that feature, sadly. I should petition tom to add it. Will have to use newsposts for now.

If Cinema Paradiso wins, try to get the Director's Cut. It would push it to a 7 hour stream though when factoring in breaks, just to let people know. Nevertheless, I think I prefer it winning to Jackal because it would be a more well-rounded night, and then Jackal could be part of a conspiracy-themed night where you'd show it along with the likes of Manchurian Candidate and Parallax View. If you wanna steal the idea, Manchurian Candidate is a much better movie than Parallax, so I wouldn't be offended if you swapped Parallax with something more contemporary like one of those Jack Ryan movies, probably the Ben Affleck one, even though Red October and the Harrison Ford ones are superior.

you do it yourself to set some kind of template/sample then just tell people to do the same until someone does and it sticks.

If the tranny stuff didn't so heavily drown out the rest of the movie it might have been a good gimmick for the rest of the IRA thriller that the movie is. That part of it really needed cutting down. I'm mad because I like a good crime thriller. I fell asleep during Baguette the second attempt. Verboten Sector is the only one I'd want to see again in the future.

>Redline
Gorgeous style and animation, a radical Jap version of Speed Racer. Ending was kind of lackluster and rushed, unfortunately. Good action and, unlike Promare, the director has heard of the word "pacing".
>Promare
Trigger can't make anything good. It's like a very obnoxious kid trying his absolute hardest to get your attention for 2 hours. It's a super exaggerated mishmash of TTGL and KLK in the typical Trigger style with a constant barrage of extreme action and "coolness" with nearly no breaks, the pacing slider is set to ultra-extreme for almost the entire length of the movie and it leaves you exhausted and makes everything feel numb. The plot was also fairly uninteresting and I don't like how excessive the use of 3DCG was and was not a fan of some stylization elements. Shame, because a lot of effort was put into this film. I understand how people can like this, but it's absolutely not my vibe.

I re-watched Speed Racer this morning and I got to say It's an amazing movie. It's so over the top and cartoony yet so beautiful. A lot of people talk about how bad the CGI is (the most noticeables scenes being the fight on top of the mountain and the race in the desert.).I would say a bit outdated for today's standards but I can't say is bad with a clear mind considering how stunningly beautiful most of the races look, the enourmous attention to detail and some of the great special effects.
The score being a plus as well. The story while not being anything new is handled pretty nicely and never gets annoying. The drama at least I thought it was pretty good. The cast also does a good job for the most part.
Going back to the races, they are so dynamic and colorful. The tracks look spectacular and the lighting is top notch. Seriously, go back to watch that final race. It blows my mind how much effort went into it.
This movie was made in the right time (2008). Do it years prior and you have lackluster effects (As much as I love practical, this couldn't be done with them.). Do it years after and Speed is black and it's made by trannies.
It's just a great movie and I can't understand why so many people hate it. Most critics at the time complained about the lack of realism when I don't think it's trying to be that.
I was so caught into the movie I forgot to make emotes but I'll do them later. That Friday was my first time watching it in 13 years when it came out and while I liked it back then I didn't think much of it as I do now. It's probably on my top 5 and while I also love Redline, I prefer this movie overall.
Also it has a monkey so you know it's good.

I would like to mention the equally unappreciated PS2/Wii licensed game. It's a great racing game and has the same combat as the movie, refered to as 'Car-Fu'. I recommend checking it out.

Okay I forgot to post my thoughts on the last movie night and so did everyone apparently.
The Hidden was the only movie I actually enjoyed, nice hidden gem. Cool concept, keeps you interested and good special effects, especially for a movie barely anyone knows. Also it has the guy from Twin Peaks.
Joker pretty much worked, it was okay, but I really felt it shouldn't have been a Batman movie at all. It almost entirely has jack shit to do with Batman, and every flimsy attempt to connect it feels forced and hamfisted.
Cobra is just shitty action schlock, not much to say about it.

>jack & jill philipino limited edition recut
5/10 never got to see what happened to the bus driving tomboy cutie

a bit predictable and linear but all in all pretty decent, the special effects really stood out considering the year and that budget wasn't super big

it was cute, don't know if they were abused but it was cute
>red river
one of my favorite movies. the buildup is intense and I feel like I'm on an adventure. the characters are distinct, even the minor characters have a clear-cut personality. it's also one of the few westerns where I feel the dust and the sweat. it's also one of the few films where John Wayne is the bad guy. when john ford saw this movie, he was so impressed with him, he hired Wayne for more complex roles. people always categorized Wayne as this macho conservative always playing the good guy. but with the right director, like Ford or Hawks, you can see John Wayne is a much more versatile actor than people realized.

but the movie is not perfect. that woman that get's impaled with a arrow. you expect her to show an expression of pain, right? WRONG-- she looks at Montgomery Clift and smirks. SHE FUCKING SMIRKS. QUIT SMIRKING BITCH. and that ending is unbelievable. we spent 2 hours and 13 minutes of Wayne and Clift's relationship crumbling down only to see a 180 and have them makeup? might as well have them makeout. speaking of gay cowboys, what happend to clift's boyfriend, Cherry Valance? he was killed by wayne's charater, right? Should Clift be angry about it, it just happened a couple of seconds ago before they makeup. I don't know, i thought the ending was anticlimatic. but still, besides all that, i think the movie is good.
> Butch Cassidy
I left before this movie was showned. but I have seen it before and it's a good film. i really liked the silent film opening they had and the reactions between Newman and Redford. what I don't like, however, is the montage when they go to South America. it just too long.

I had fun with you guys watching these films, I wish we could do another western-themed night. by the way, what are we watching next week, are we still doing a Friday the 13th marathon or no?

Jason in space, sounds absurd but it plays exactly like the same shit as the rest. Yes, the science vessel he gets sent to is somehow full of the same type of careless teenagers as he killed in the earth movies. Okay, but not very entertaining.

Well shot, remarkable practical effects and the craziest fever dream shit, it stuck with me the most. Bizarre and a bit difficult to follow, but my eyes remained glued to the screen.

Thanks for the flicks. I had to tap out after Uncut Gems because that shit was so anxiety inducing and the ending didn't help. I don't want to say that I liked it but for me, it did what it set out to do. However, I also kind of cringe at awkward social situations like the meek balding jew trying to get his money back so it was doubly uncomfortable. I think you guys hated too hard on the jewess wife. They didn't really do her any favors later on but when I first saw her I thought she was cute in a jew milf kind of way before you niggers started calling her Bruce Jenner. I thought the Mohegan Sun teller lady was also a cute milf. Cute enough that I remembered her and that scene.

Day of the Dead gets the award for "movie that got me the closest to throwing up". overall i didn't like it, excessive gore takes away from the drama and just turns it into a brutalfest.

Thanks for the stream as always Jack.
For the movies for next Friday, anons compiled the list:

legoracer: A Bridge Too Far (1977)
Vextra: Manchester by the Sea
TheSoloMan: Jiro Dreams of Sushi (must be hard subbed)

Third anon never chose a movie and disappeared from the stream, so we decided to go with Solo's choice.
