[Hide] (853.9KB, 800x800) Reverse I bought a "Qin F21" phone off AliExpress for about $100 USD a few months back. 480*640 panel, functioning physical buttons, 64, count that on your fingers, an entire 64GB of storage. Apparently a lot of people use this to get over "social media addiction" (what the fuck?), but personally I've never spent so much time on my phone before. It is SO GOOD for J2ME games.
Not that there are a lot of very good J2ME games in the first place, but hey, it's the best way of playing them.
I've got:
- Doom RPG
- Worms
- Some weird platformer called "Shadowalker"
- Most of the Gameloft library. Nothing very good, but I guess it's interesting that they pretty much directly shaped Hotline Miami's aesthetic
- and of course, the entire GameBoy and GBA library
I'd ask for more J2ME recs, but obviously there's pretty much nothing. It'd be nice if those Japanese Java phone games became properly emulatable some time within the next decade.
