All of them look the same to me. I guess that's just the new thing, I stopped paying attention to FPS games so them being split into a handful of categories full of identical games doesn't bother me anymore.

Lies of Pee is the closest thing to Bloodborne on PC aside from emulating it, which came after. Had Soyny not been retarded and just let From port the real deal, PinocchioBorne probably wouldn't have been half as popular.

Once again the gaming industry fails to impress. Pic related is the only thing that looked interesting to me. If it wasn't for shitposting with anons I probably wouldn't have bothered watching this.
>>282141
Yeah they're getting old. I wish these studios would try to innovate on gameplay instead of just repeating what others have done.
Replies: >>282196
>>282166
Calling Lies of P "PinocchioBorne" is a massive insult to Bloodborne. It's just another shitty soulslike with absolutely nothing going for it besides being slightly less shitty than other soulslikes. Bloodborne actually had a lot of interesting variations on the formula. Though, I agree that Sony was overprotective and retarded about Bloodborne. Lies of Pee probably would never have existed if Sony licensed a PC release of Bloodborne.
>>282179
Acts of Blood looked satisfying, but it depends on how complex the controls are. If it's like batman where you mash X to make the character do complex animations then who cares.

yeah I cringed at the trailer, too
Why is it a game that's as so stylized as P4 looks so bland that its' not immediately identifiable as P4

Take a picture of P4, Golden, whatever, you immediately know it's from P4. It's not just the fog, it's the texturing on the building, it's the character models, it's their proportions, all of it comes together to make something that looks like Persona 4.

Meanwhile people in the chat I was in were thinkingi t was a new Suda game because of how it looks until they saw Yu running around and the stack of TVs (which also didn't look like P4 TVs)

It's not the same time of day but still, why is it so hard to make things look the same? Or just similar?

I don't want to say it but the sign tappers are probably right, there's no way Kanji's S-link or especially Naoto's is getting through unscathed.

I always said she was the canary in the coal mine about the industry, if a story about someone not conforming to society's labels about them because those labels were sacred cows like LGBT can't be remade anymore, then the industry is just another branch of the Hollywood movie industry.

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe someone at Atlus still has some balls. Because betraying that message because they're facing societal pressure to make them gay and trans would literally break the whole game. The whole point of the game is that you are not what society as a whole says you are. But we live in a social media world where not conforming to Social Media can mean social suicide.

So are they just pretending Payday 3 just never happened
Replies: >>282320
>>282319
Some of the devs who made Payday left and made their own studio, 10 Chambers. Consequently they don't have much competition since Payday 3 is dead anyway.

Might be, but looks more like a reskin of Hitman since it features the same gameplay and set pieces that aren't remotely 007.
>>282323
Why? Payday 2 was greatly flawed, you just think it was good because 3 was a even worse.
Replies: >>282332
>>282330
Payday 2 before the DLC onslaught back when it first released was good, then it became a bloated mess of trash that they expected to work well with the original core mechanics.
Replies: >>282338 >>282349
>>282332
The grenade DLC released shortly after launch there weren't any grenades in the game before that and as far as I know you still have to pay for them and their business model escalated into full coop game P2W after that, but sure I enjoyed it for a bit back when stealth wasn't an afterthought.
>>282332
Payday 2 was shit at release. There were a bunch of unfulfilled promises from the dev team - for example they overpromised the number of heists in the game by counting each permutation of the base heists as separate, individual heists (so instead of Bank Heist counting once, they counted Bank Heist: Cash, Bank Heist: Gold, and Bank Heist: Deposit Boxes as unique missions). They advertised something like 11 or 12 heists at launch but we actually got around 5 or 6.
There were also a number of other glaring issues, such as the CrimeNet implementation, the abysmal item drop system that forced players into an infinite grind loop, the lack of cloakers, the horrible desync issues that made multiplayer stealthing virtually impossible, and the fact that all of the available heists were objectively worse than those of the first game.
The only thing PD2 did well over PD:TH was the gunplay. The combat in PD2 was leagues ahead of PD:TH. The problem is that combat doesn't mean much when your heists are all garbage.
Man, that entire PC Gaming Show was a bunch of unfunny people trying too hard to be funny.
