>What is this?
This is an offline 1.7.10 minecraft server running a custom mod pack: https://mega.nz/file/Q3sTjRIA#W-yvXqD03r8xkJ7NVhKNwuG9akqahXnlz_xUCbx1P8g
>What's in it?
little tiles, Ic2, thaumcraft, blood magic, littlemaidmobs, et futurum requiem, grimoire of gaia, hardcore ender expansion etc.
>Can my toaster run this?
It's an even lighter pack than last time and a few versions back. If you have a pc built after 2005 you should be able to run this.
>Did you include the difficulty retardation?
Considering how well that went over last time, I've elected to not add that retardation.
>What if I want "x" mod?
Mention it in the thread and I'll see about adding it as long as it's not too retarded.
>What's this scripts folder?
It's just aspect lists this time so thaumcraft can actually interact with most of the new blocks/items.
>How do I use a skin?
Name your skin "skin.png" and put it in your .minecraft
>How do I avoid giving microshaft all my data?
https://github.com/fn2006/PollyMC
>Will this shit constantly be unavailable like last time?
No, I'm paying for a server this time so it should stay up 24/7.
Here's the ip: 51.81.182.151:25572

Haven't tried it myself, but I think Railcraft would be a fun mod for linking up bases (and a lot more practical than vanilla carts).
Might be useful for automation too.

Nigga, you aren't supposed to upload a big file all at once, upload individual jars. That should also preserve the structure. If you can't do it either way, use git-lfs. That's a solved issue.
Also if you insist on having both scripts and mods, then create 2 separate repositories, so people can pull them on the fly and won't have to copy things from one folder to the other.
Sorry I cant find the original, this is close enough in principle

Please, re-read posts under my id. What i was asking is separate directories. This way you can have "mods" folder, look into it, click right mouse button and update it from the repo. Inside your game folder without a need to manualy copy or create symlinks. That was my message.

Also what sort of hardware are you renting this server on? Recently there have been quite a few cases of lags, which might either be solved by installing and configuring anti-lag addon or by increasing the amount of RAM your server has.
Thank you for your work.

Pretty sure I had a problem similar to this and im pretty sure I had to put all "scripts" from the pack in the scripts folder if I remember correctly. Either way it's somewhere down those lines
Same problem as the poster >>259546 has.
Copied the new config for conflicting optimizer mods: Hodgepodge and FalseTweaks. Managed to launch the game properly, but network connection to the server fails with the same error. There was 1 player who managed to get in.

The pack is already 1/3 performance mods, and the server has double what it needs. It used to have 5x before railcraft was added. It might also be hodgepodge, but I've been busy with work so that's a shot in the dark at best.

We need a bug zapper mod
Playing this pack has really made me appreciate the QoL that tech mods other than IC2 have introduced. Something as simple as picking a side to have a machine output to is impossible in IC2, and the power situation is esoteric at best. Providing a machine with more power than it's designed to handle makes it explode unless you put a transformer upgrade in the machine, but that upgrade is practically useless, as for some reason the machines still refuse to accept more power than before.
The result of this is that, no matter how much you try to increase the speed of a machine, it will usually be locked to accepting 32 EU/t, completely nullifying the benefit of allowing the machine to accept higher amounts of EU.
This isn't even mentioning the concept of cable loss, in which you get punished for having distance between your power generation and your consumers, or the fact that IC2 insists on having its own unit of power, while just about every other tech mod in history has used RF (later renamed to FE).
One last problem I have with IC2 is the inability to automate reactor function. There's no way to detect the heat of a nuclear reactor, nor is there any way to tell when a fuel rod is spent. The result of this is a reactor system that requires babysitting, both to manually refuel, and, if you want to get any worthwhile power generation out of it, to stop it from heating up and melting down. A direct contrast can be drawn to the nuclear reactors from the mekanism mod, which can not only have their fuel and coolant automated entirely within the mod (due to mekanism having logistics items like pipes, something else that IC2 sorely lacks), but they can be scaled to almost any size you wish, and have methods through which you can automatically shut the reactor down if any problems occur.

Ultimately, while I'm sure that the situation with transformer upgrades is a bug due to this being an old version of IC2, I'm glad that mods as a whole have moved past the incomplete nature, and obscure, obfuscated mechanics of IC2.
Of course, I will still continue to play on the server, at least until I achieve the goals I had set out for myself.

The thing I hate about it is how purposely tedious everything is and how some are/should be pretty much pointless. There is no point to using the metal former when tools for metal forming are much faster and less annoying. The fact that you have to use a metal former for steel but not iron is fucking stupid considering that steel is far more ductile than iron. It just feels tacked on that you have to use it for this. Oh and I almost forgot. Actually seperating deepslate ore and normal ore is fucking retarded and the only purpose it could possibly have is making your inventory even more cluttered than it already is
Replies: >>259823
>>259808
You could always suggest a better mod, hostfag will listen.
>>259821
I thought deepslate was a vanilla thing?
Replies: >>259824
>>259823
Not the problem, it goes as "deepslate iron" and "iron" separately in your inventory when you mine it even though they are functionally the same
Replies: >>259848
>>259824
There is a functional difference. Deepslate ores don't work with the pickaxe of the core.
When using my macerator/furnace, could you please not leave it running with your ores after you've logged off? I have no clue which ingots in the output chest belong to me, and which to whoever it was who last used the setup. I'll leave everything as it was for now, but in the future, if I find any abandoned ores or ingots in my house, I will be taking them for myself.
Fuck you gertrude, here's your oil back

How did you guys solve the tainted problem near the wheat farm?
Hostfag, I have a request for an update to the pack. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/forestry I need forestry, solely to have a way to convert EU to RF. IC2 historically doesn't play well with other mods, so there's no built in way to get the sheer amount of RF I'll need to get started on draconic evolution.

All of those are bug fixes, or just quality of life improvements. Also this is hodgepodge:https://github.com/GTNewHorizons/Hodgepodge I attempted to update it, but it required a new dependency so I just switched it back.

Replies: >>260599

That looks exactly like what happens when you overload a chunk with too much NBT data, causing it to be unable to save, and thus re-generated.
Replies: >>260599 >>260600

I'm guessing his Inventarium got too big then?
Replies: >>260601 >>260603
>>260600
Yeah it was around 150 chests and around 11 hoppers in a small area + the inventarium and everything that is required to make it work. That chunk also had a small farm running off golems, my infusion altar, a number of my jars, vis storage, and a mob farm.
Replies: >>260602 >>260603
>>260601
I think the scribes might have also counted as a double of the chests due to shit coding, which would mean the issue was multiplied at least double if not triple. It's a shame automagy is closed source so no one can know how dogshit the code is.
>>260600
>>260601
In the future, assuming you get that chunk back, move anything that has lots of NBT data into a bordering chunk. This includes stuff like enchanted books, written books, anything that can store other stuff inside it, and frankly anything that has a number after the colon in its item ID. Either the entire server or that entire region file will need to be reverted to a backup in order to recover that chunk most likely, though I'm not the host, so don't have any info on what is backed up, and how often. Also, if the backup is too recent, the chunk will once again be empty, as the amount of data in it remains too high to save/load. Assuming you do get it back, immediately move half of the contents of it to the next chunk over, and if you can't locate the next chunk, then exactly 16 blocks away.
Replies: >>260605
Server's up.

I also used an exploit to avoid having to hold down the right mouse button the entire time.

Should have used the condenser block so you didn't have to do it manually.

hey! cool sex dungeon!

i didnt know minecraft had those
>>263269
Unless I'm missing something the handler for the condenser only checks for the Hex of Predictability.
The handler for the infusion matrix only checks if there's a player holding a wand with certain attributes, no reference to a condenser.

I haven't figured out how to make the condenser work with infusion in creative mode FWIW.
Replies: >>263275 >>263277

(Or rather: a handler for the player which looks for an infusion matrix, then checks for a held wand with a certain attribute)

Bad news, the vis condenser will not be allowed to work with infusions. Good news? He's changing infusions so they're less boring by making them harder.

I had a spawn item for it so I decided to use it for the "lulz", it seems to be a mob you can do some trading with.

To make the new Christmas gamenights stand out a bit more, I will unsticky this thread. It's been up for over 2 months now anyway.
I will re-sticky again later if anons request it.

I tried using the mod from this guide https://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/1-7-10-need-to-backup-a-server-for-yourself-world-download-mod-tutorial.50201/ (LiteModWDL) to download some important chunks from the server, and it supposedly succeeded, but when I try to play the generated single player world, the game crashes. Below is an excerpt of the crash log.

It seems like this server has ran it's course. It'll be going offline the 29th.

>>264602
It looks like a block got corrupted when it was copied. However I've never seen this error before, so I could be wrong. I'll upload the world somewhere so everyone that wants it can download it.

If you want to keep playing I can keep it up for longer. I just haven't seen anyone join in the last week so I assumed everyone was done.

I still play just a little bit, but after all, retiring the server is the best choice...

Thank you for sharing the world, and thank you for hosting it in the first place.
It works fine on my end and I noticed that the game treats other players' maids as belonging to me.
