Yeah I think it was Predator mode, it was a good attempt but it kinda started streching thin for me, especially because while they introduced the measure I named later in the games they didn't really offer any new ways to stealth around, it remained grappling and using the grate vents on occasion.

>The system has three buttons: Attack, Parry, and Dodge.
You say you played and enjoyed the game but then you should know this is wrong, You got Attack, Parry, Dodge, (double) stun, combat grapple which can remove enemy items and/or pull them in and virtually all items you acquire have a combat quickfire mode. Oh and I guess the takedown which is on its own key. I am not saying this to be pedantic either, these all have their actual uses although they may not be strictly mandatory.
>Pressing Dodge repeatedly will invalidate any kind of tension.
>I am aware of that, but this is like playing a game with cheat codes on
Now I have played the games on normal and hard a couple times so maybe I am not exactly getting with how little you can get away with but I distinctly remember arena fights not allowing for dodge to be a catch all evasion, enemies will often enough slide after you mid animation when you dodge and others like the knife or shield guy will charge you irrespective of it either, add to that that enemies will start throwing shit with on/off aimlock and they will attempt to open weapon crates to shoot you. Sure early to midgame random mobs in the overwold should not pose a challenge but I don't think it should be much tension to begin with, you are Batman against 5 unarmed thugs.
>But I think some minor adjustments could have been made such that the player isn't literally always tempted to ignore it.
Sure, I agree except I don't really get what is tempting about dodging, sure you make it goofy but it doesn't actually relieve you of the fighting.
