Well the trailer is out, along with the planned release year and it's not looking too promising. Who knows though, maybe it'll be fun, /v/ complained about having to play as a nigger back with SA but the game turned out to be quite good. With that said the sheer amount of niggers and degeneracy is flat out revolting, they even put a fucking fat nigger twerking at some point and all the women are either niggers or ugly. Is Miami really like this at all? I hate niggers. Rockstar is done.

>/v/ complained about having to play as a nigger back with SA but the game turned out to be quite good
SA was good because the devs wanted to make a good game, but the GTA formula peaked and died with that game and it won't come back.
IV was playable, even if it was a scripted cinematic experience that barely resembled a GTA game, because the company was just trying shit out and it still wasn't woke.
Modern R* is bland, safe, and greedy. They were the ones to remove the tranny NPCs from GTA V because SJWs complained about it. They were the one to remove the General Lee car from GTA V because muh confederate flag. They were the ones to censored naughty words in the online mode, including words the NPCs used all the time in online mode, because it might offend someone. And that was before RDR2 and the cuck robin hood story.
TL;DR it's going to be shit, play IV or SA instead.

The city looks phenomenal. It's been a while since I've been down to Florida, but they've done a phenomenal job at scaling Miami, Miami Beach, and the Keys. I hated all the social media shit. I get that the game is satire and that there is not a place on Earth that is trashier than Florida (it really is that trashy), but they really should have not shown that in the very first trailer.

>IV was playable, even if it was a scripted cinematic experience that barely resembled a GTA game, because the company was just trying shit out and it still wasn't woke.
IV completely cut out a bunch of major features and cut down a bunch more. The only things it had going for it, were the newer tech and being designed around more powerful hardware. I suppose it did have a serviceable, built in multiplayer, but what else? For what it's worth, V reintroduced at least some of the shit that was in SA, including the more over the top missions which IV also lacked.
>The city looks phenomenal.
Visually yeah, I'm hoping they don't make the same mistake they did with V and leave three quarters of the map empty with only one densely packed city area. I'm also hoping this shot is misleading because assuming that's half of all there is and assuming there's nothing past the skyline at the horizon, then it looks kinda small, like IV small. V came out 10 years ago, and it's going to be 12 in 2025, when this is supposed to be releasing. I'm hoping those 10 years will translate to a major leap in terms of scale and detail of the playable space, even though I'd be happier with a smaller but content dense map than another big empty nothing with small amounts of shit drip fed here and there.

It's a new GTA game, of course it will sell regardless of pozz. That's why ESG companies do what they do, they rely on popular IPs to push their agenda knowing it's going to sell on name alone, but it also kills the IP.
GTA VI is going to sell millions but odds are no one is going to care about GTA VIII. They're going to kill the IP just like disney killed star wars, just like hollywood killed capeshit, just like EA killed modern warfare, and so on.
Normalfags eat shit because they're slow to adapt but eventually they look around, notice no one is enjoying the shit, and stop eating en masse.

No it wasn't/isn't. It is the same trash as the previous two games except with a terrible pseudo RPG mechanic system. You are better off just playing an actual RPG if you want real RPG mechanics. The rest of it is the same shit boring lazy quests that they have been doing even in modern titles. Other than that, driving and shooting, which other games do better. Muh open world city is so fucking important to people for some reason. It's shit, they're all equal levels of shit, except SA may actually be the worst for dumping that mind-numblingly retarded RPG shit on you out of nowhere.

>>227077
>it's an everything simulator
No it isn't. The objectives of the game are a chore so if you're playing for those, you should play something else. So with that out of the way, what else does the game offer? Driving, combat, and an open world city you can't interact with beyond vehicles, mowing people down, and mowing cops down or evading them. This is not revolutionary. GTA was doing this in a 3D world since 2001. Other titles proved this is not hard to do, for example Saints Row, Driver, and Mafia. It doesn't do "everything," it does an extremely small amount of things and it doesn't do them well. Volition made the same "piss of the cops while driving and using weapons" pointless simulation on a much lower budget and in much less time, and the wacky weapons, tons of customization options, and better vehicle handling actually make dicking around for an hour before getting bored a more interesting experience in comparison to the considerably less content offered by GTA. Yet, none of this changes the fact that the novelty factor of this died in 2001. People have been doing the exact same shit for over 2 decades.

You're right on the series being rife with degenerates and lowlives, but I don't think there's that same intent here.
In previous games those lowlives were played as the butt of a joke, like a random tranny NPC you'd encounter or some character's shortcomings being played for laughs in cutscenes. That's not what's happening here.
I've watched this video and I fail to see any attempt at sarcasm or self-awareness. They're genuine about it, almost heralding a world you'd want to live in instead of a virtual sandbox to run people over.
When shit like this can fly as the way to push your next big game you can only imagine how much worse quests in this game are going to be, or how unbearable the current corporate climate at R* is for that matter.

In a way this trend reminds me of those scary movie like parody movies that were more concerned about parodying and making references to all the latest movies that came out at the time rather than just picking those that would make for a funny joke.
Rockstar nowaday is basically:
<How do you do, fellow kids?

Usually not a fan of the "*oomer" meme shit but honestly that really hit me like a ton of bricks. The internet has not been kind to me as an oldfag. I'm not completely out of the loop yet but I am beginning to lose touch out of apathy and I am finding myself increasingly unable to keep up with whatever the new culture is, and when I do I always find myself remarking on how stupid it seems to me. It really hurts when sometimes I sit down and realize that all the old faggots I used to muck it up with have either moved on to being facebook normalfags or have possibly left the internet altogether. I want to go back to the 2000s and buy Unreal Tournament 2004 on disc, log into quakenet and happily tell people what I just got while I install it and put in my CD key and tell those good lads I'm ready to join their server.

I guess I'm just too old for the internet now. Sometimes I'm not even sure if I belong on a small imageboard like this one. But I don't really know where a guy like me belongs by this point. So for all the people/AI who aren't whiny superfags ITT, the plot of the game is rumored to be a copy of The Place Beyond the Pines, as in our two protagonists had a child out of wedlock when they were young but the father was unaware. The child is taken away from the mother when she goes to prison and she reconnects with the father in order to get her kid back and depending on how you play the game, they either rekindle their relationship or they die Bonnie and Clyde style.

When you're talking about how garbage the new generation is (the new generation has been garbage for centuries) and how hard it is to keep up with the new culture (aka getting old) it's hard not to consider it doomposting when a certain bad actor has been shitting up the place at the exact same time.

Everyone here is hurting and demoralized by the objective evil ZOG subjects us to on a daily basis. Everyone here wants to go back to being a kid in the early 2000s when you could say nigger on the internet and not get banned. What you have to remember is that media and culture is a giant propaganda apparatus designed to make shit look worse to sane people than it actually is. Posters like niggerpill and other terminally online assholes try to bring that shit here and get dunked on for it. If you could convince the man on the street to actually speak his mind you would find many of them know on an instinctive level society is fucked but are too scared of ZOG retaliation to speak out. They are also increasingly less scared of speaking out as they get pushed harder and harder. You just have to find these people (say by posting on anonymous imageboards like zzzchan) and convince them you're not going to rat them out. This is popularly known as "making friends."

We're all gonna make it, lad. Remember that.

Apparently there are pics of the map which allegedly "leaked" before the trailer. I dunno how legitimate they are especially since they all look slightly different from each other, so take it with a big spoonful of salt. Going by what I'm seeing, the second pic seems to be the "closest" to be the map used for this version of the game. I have to specify that because the game is still in development, so who the Hell know what they're going to change over the next two years. This is based on the nighttime image here: >>227038
And the fly-over image at the 0:35 mark (First pic). I circled the areas on the map that those two shots correlate to. That being said, it possible all three images are correct, but show how the map's design changed over the decade the game has spent in development. That being said, it is rather insulting that the game is only 'that' big (56 square miles). Remember that L.A.Rush and True Crime: Streets of L.A., two entirely seperate games by two entirely seperate developers, 'both' managed to cram in 240 square miles of road going on 18/20 years ago. We're three generations removed from these games, yet the world is only a fifth of the size. That's not to mention 2009's Fuel having a map that's 5400 square miles, but that's a game about a post apocalyptic wasteland.

I was wondering, since the story revolves around 2 main characters whose stories are tightly intertwined, do you think it's possible the whole campaign will be fully playable in cooperative mode?
>SA had the first free roam couch co-op mode as a small extra
>IV introduced the first MP exclusive co-op missions
>V expanded on the IV experiment and implemented several more with more depth
Having the entire SP campaign playable in cooperative seems like a logical step seeing how they obviously developed the concept more each new installment and gained experience about how to handle it over the years.

I don't think that's the main issue. The format is mildly irritating, but the real problem here is that the subject matter is just things that you would actually see on social media, only rendered in their game engine. That's not that interesting. If instead of that they filled the trailer with the kind of things that go viral on social media in a setting where crazy shit is happening all the time because there's a player character fucking it all up, that would have been much better. Imagine the part with the negress twerking on the moving car, except a truck plows into it and sends her flying into traffic at 60 mph. That would have been both more entertaining as spectacle and much closer to the way GTA actually plays.
Even the non-social media parts of the trailer are too grounded. The big crime scene at the end where we get the dramatic shot of the protagonists appears to be them robbing a liquor store. Who the fuck cares about that? If you want to make being a criminal a compelling fantasy you have to raise the stakes and create some distance from the real thing, because real petty crime is boring, ugly, and contemptible.

>IV was playable, even if it was a scripted cinematic experience that barely resembled a GTA game, because the company was just trying shit out

1) It's going to be an even bigger microtransaction hell than gta 5
2) It's woke garbage
3) It's just going to be gta 5.5
But the biggest reason is 1) because there is no reason for it not to be that way because the vast majority of sales revenue came from microstransactions in 5, so there is no reason to not double down and do it all over again. My bet, is that they are going to focus even less time on the campaign this time and if they don't, it's going to be an online only game (even singleplayer), and you aren't going to even own the game

>what I was getting at is just because you have a huge map it doesn't make the game automatically good
The problem I have with this argument is that it's constantly used as an excuse for why the games need to have "less" content and features than previous games that came prior. I'm not accusing you of anything or assuming that's the point you're trying to make, however that's the talking point I keep see thrown about when this type of discussion heads down that direction. That we "need" all this powerful hardware in order for these games to be "feature complete", yet games keep shipping out with less and less features and content than what came prior (Aside from one or two gimmiks). In the case of GTA, GTA5 stripped out the building interiors, advanced physics and collisions, AI intricacy, free-running, and animations that were present in GTA4, but "That's okay" because the map is bigger. And looking at GTA6, the first question that comes to my mind is what shit did they have to strip out of the already gimped GTA5 in order to get THIS game running. Yes, the map is bigger, yes, the graphics are pretty; however we have games from 10-20 years ago that look just as good or maps that are bigger than what is offered in GTA6.

Go ahead and accuse me of being cynical, but these are the questions that I have.

FUEL's map was actually based on satellite data, mixed with some procgen and manual editing to make it wastelandy and add setpieces. So the overall layout is based on the actual USA at the time, not random at all, unlike Minecraft's boring procgen with no cool features or logical layout to stuff.
>>227543
I never said that. It's just that bigger map = bigger area to fill with content, and there's a limit of how many content a fixed development team cn produce in a fixed amount of time. If they're trying to create a bigger map than they can reasonably fill with content... well, then you end up with Fuel's endless wasteland and and GTAV's big map filled with nothing.
So practically what you want, if you have a previous game with a useless map is a game with smaller map, but the same (or more) content. But of course, diversity hires can't do anything, other than making excuses.

The only microtransactions come in the form of extra money for the online segment and that adds literally nothing but a clever way to swindle mongoloids and keep the development paid for. If they keep this business model for VI, I'm all for it. They get their shekels, the assorted third world retards get their monopoly money to waste their mom's credit on, and I get free content and support for years to come. Everyone wins.

Did you play the game at all? It's full of unfun features like limiting the cars you can sell or steal and missions that pay next to nothing just to force the retards playing into either grinding to afford the content (which they remove from the game and then force you to pay to get back) or buying the shark cards which all the kids are going to do. And the kids are going to do because GTAO is a game for children, if it was for teens or adults like it claim to be it it wouldn't have to censor swear words like it's club penguin.
It's a crime game where you can't do crime except in very specific circumstances for very limited rewards. Even heists, the multi-step missions that pay out the most money out of anything in the game, barely give you enough to afford the cars that were removed from the base game.

It's a game that censors itself for children, then censors itself for sjws (removed confederate flag and trannies you could kill), then tries to kill mods because they want to controls what players do with the products they've purchased. There is absolutely no reason to expect anything from GTA VI but a huge disappointment that normalfags will defend.

I'm going to, for the sake of the argument, give you the benefit of doubt for one moment and assume you just misread or are confused. The original argument I replied to was
>It's going to be an even bigger microtransaction hell than gta 5
Further reinforced at the end of the same post
>But the biggest reason is 1) because there is no reason for it not to be that way because the vast majority of sales revenue came from microstransactions in 5, so there is no reason to not double down and do it all over again.
And proclaimed a negative thing. To which I replied by countering that it clearly isn't a "microtransaction hell" considering all the content was shipped and accessible free of charge after purchasing the game, and that relying on microtransactions that literally add nothing to the game isn't a terrible business model to finance development. None of what you said has any bearing on what I said, you're arguing against an argument that was never made.

Read my post, nigger.
The game was fully financed by micro transactions, which is why there was absolutely no post-launch singleplayer update. Not even the multiplayer items made into singleplayer. Rockstar kept getting money, so they kept giving people reason to keep spending.
>hurr durr but it doesn't hurt the game
Lowering the amount of money you get from missions doesn't hurt the game? Removing over 180 cars that were previously accessible by even new players and then selling them to the player for ridiculous prices you can't afford without grind or paying doesn't hurt the game?
Making the game a worse experience for the customers that already paid for the game and removing content for the sake of money "isn't a terrible business model"?
Go fuck yourself.

Yeah, free of charge only if you were willing to grind for 1,000 hours or PAY UP like they want you to do. Every single thing in GTAO is a grind and GTA single player is a boring do nothing simulator in an empty sandbox

Apparently blacks make up 14% in Florida but are only in a very very small spot in the top part of the county being outnumbered by whites. I think it's still pandering to the black crowd too much for "diversity" reasons but atleast we have a TND simulator that passes off the liberal crowd.

in a world full of niggers.... humankind needs a hero...
What about Euphoria? It was only properly used in IV, then was broken in Max Payne 3 (enemies can no longer stumble backwards and instead immediately faceplant when shot in the legs) and that's the version that has been used in V and RDR2 since.

I'll try to decipher what he meant to say.
I think he tried to say that the niggers' entire existence is sad and that despite they claim that "black lives matter", the only thing they are all about is twerking and pretend that they had a part in other people's cultures because they have none that is worth considering as such on their own.
Maybe that anon will show up again to confirm or deny lol.

Neat tech demo. Absolutely awful for gameplay. It's Absolutely unforgivable how slow they made your character because he has to move his legs in such and such way. Want to nudge forward just a tiny bit? No, your character has to take a full step before he can stop, because it's "realistic". It takes away all precision when it comes to movement, just so that it can look good, or rather cinematic.

>Want to nudge forward just a tiny bit? No, your character has to take a full step before he can stop, because it's "realistic".
From what I remember playing IV a decade ago the Euphoria engine only went into full hyper-realism mode when you or an NPC encountered enough force to disrupt standard animations, though you're right in that the default animations without you aiming a gun were a bit boat-like,
It's a damn shame the engine wasn't refined in later installments so you could for example retain half-control instead of losing all of it when a car lightly bumps into you while you're firing a gun and then Niko awkwardly stands there for 2 seconds before you regain control, if it was instead set up so Niko would try to aim his gun in the direction of the crosshair while trying to regain balance it would've been less disruptive.
>>235893
Actually the newer games don't have Euphoria kick in until someone gets shot so those movements are intentionally designed and animated that way.
