Anytime, I'd add that you can also rent a virtual server instead of buying a computer. Those usually have a permanent IP address, and many of the companies in that business will also sell you domains with them in a single package. Although that is even more corpo than running your own server, but the sad truth is that the internet is inherently corpo,

You could even write your own software if you want to give it a try, but you need something that shits out an imageboard if a request comes in.
