I'd settle for more things to be excited about, even with the tribalism problem. AI is about to be shoehorned into everything so I'm not looking forward to needing computers or phones in the future. 
I'll own the 'privacy dork' hate, there's probably more that can be done than deleting cookies on exit - it's easy to feel defeated when the internet consolidated and left me behind though. I'm not normie enough to use the socials, I'm not hardcore enough to airgap and write my own code.

It doesn't matter what field you go into. People get into tech jobs because of how lucrative they seem but aren't usually enthusiastic about it and are also only above average at best in terms of intelligence.

The problem comes from the management, HR and business/government. Most companies are managed poorly. The MBAs who airdrop into the high end positions don't know anything about engineering. The investors are short-sighted. They are the people approving the existence of HR and their retarded decisions. The existence of HR is the biggest fuck you in every field. There is no point for any company to have them. They set up ridiculous rules to select candidates, favoring women, niggers and pajeets. They select based on resume writing skills, which probably is only use for marketing positions. The reason why there are so many companies that are like this but still can exist is because of the business and government. Government allow monopoly and non-competition, bailing out big players and helping shutting down new comers. These business can still exist even with these stupid decisions is because they are not culled.
Of course ultimately the cause is jews.

True. When the competition is so strong that only people with the passion and intelligence in the field can make it, people who only do it as a job are pushed out. It is not the case here. Even free software development is done by people who want to pad their resume, or trying to push some kind of political agendas.

A lot of times I wish people were smarter and didn't cargo cult so many things. Design patterns, code style, whether a tool is good. So many people believe a thing is important without knowing why it's good or when it's not good. Maybe I am too contemptuous and so I won't learn from other people.

More intelligence would solve these, but unfortunately we aren't getting much smarter. We're getting slightly smarter but mainly because of nutrition. 

I guess civilization works around this. Humans make some pretty cool stuff. For most of it, we somehow coordinate a bunch of dumb people each writing shitty code, and together they make something that works and isn't that bad.

Psychology today made me laugh when researching it while keeping your 'nutrition making us smarter' thing in mind. Neanderthals had the largest brains and they survived the ice age. Human intelligence has been collapsing since the industrial revolution. There's a whole book about it called At Our Wit's End. The tldr is that smart people waste their lives working while dumb people fuck like rabbits and collect unemployment checks from the government.

That's one theory, sub saharan africans never bred with neanderthals because they were physically cut off by water on 3 sides and the sahara desert.

There is also the winter theory which better explains why light skin correlates with intelligence. People who evolve in variable climates have lighter skin to absorb more sunlight. They also need to plan ahead and hoard resources to survive winter. White people who didn't prepare for winter or ate all their food on December 1st were selected out of the gene pool by evolution. People who evolve in tropical climates don't have as much evolutionary pressure on intelligence because food is available all year round and there is not much difference between winter and summer so any kind of planning ahead only needs to be very short term. And from a biology point of view if intelligence is not being used then it is just a waste of calories. That's why you get such vicious IQ gaps between asians and arabs or europeans and africans.
