There isn't an issue with just 3 bloated files, but if everyone upload just a few bloated files then every file would be bloated. We also need to account for the future as we have to rely on slower standards like the onion network and potentially slow P2P services in the future. I will always prefer smaller file sizes when the fidelity cost is borderline placebo. Debloating the internet is very important and that includes webms, audio, and images you upload to imageboards.
And people are lazy and tend not to manually compress things themselves. Once a bloated reaction image/webm starts circulating few very people are going to compress it and then you have created MB's of useless data that might circulate for years, or decades. It's autistic but an important kind of autistic to care about bloated file size.
But I am also speaking generally. I also understand the value of having raw files in all their full quality. But I agree with >>2340 in that imageboards are more about streaming the content. You should probably use dedicated P2P file sharing for the raw uncompressed files. Though I also just don't are too much about audio personally. I wasn't bothered much by the uncompressed wallpapers that we being posted because I enjoyed having high fidelity wallpapers. Maybe I'm a hypocrite, I don't know.
