/hebe/ was indeed the primary reason I took 8ch off the webring list, though I think I should address pic related. I can assure you there was zero coordination or discussion over the matter between me and any staff of any other site on the webring. I can't speak for all of the other site admins but I doubt they talk amongst each other any more than I do with them, which is very rare. I did not receive any requests to remove 8ch from any third parties either. For me at least, it was /hebe/ in conjunction with certain people involved with 8ch's previous involvement with feds that made me want to have no direct ties. You can think of that what you will and I'm not going to dictate how I think you should be running things.

You've said in so many words that there's no "problem" that we need to fix or criteria that we should meet, you rather just want to exclude us, and that is hypocritical.  The webring was always billed as the means to keep the old 8chan communities connected and add a measure of redundancy for the benefit of anons, and favoritism has never played a part on decisions related to it until, I believe, now.  8chan's principles of free expression and community must not be abandoned.  Or at least they're not going to be abandoned by us.

I’ve made sure that the pedophile general (“Cuteness Appreciation” Thread) on /b/ will be permanently banned and all posters also banned sitewide so they can’t start it back up on any other board. No boards will be allowed to be created in the same vein either. I think it’s not unreasonable to finally have 8chan listed on the webring with everyone else now that this pedophile issue has all been taken care of. I’m not sure of any other issue barring the site from joining the greater imageboard community and I hope you reconsider your previous decision now that these legally offending posters have been removed. 
I hope we can now start working towards a better future together for imageboards and free speech.
