All sorts of stuff, mostly metal, rock, and a bit of punk but mostly the really loud and heavy stuff like grindcore. But I'm not too keen on goregrind as much as I am on black and death metal.
But I also enjoy a bunch of j-rock, j-metal, and even some j-pop and synthpop if it's catchy and quick enough. Yes, this includes some k-ON and Love Live tracks. Love me some Guilty Kiss and Yohane character songs.
And video game OSTs, especially of games that have a special place in my heart like the entire Morrowind, C418, Amnesia, and Doom collections.
I don't know what genre (hardcore industrial ambient?) musicians like Goth Von Core and Lights Out God Help Me are, but they sound like what you'd hear in a vampire night club in a Bladerunner film. These are also great for mindlessly mindful aggression.
But it can be good more often than not to chill out with no-music ambient like from MyNoise as well as dozens of channels like Sword Coast Soundscapes, Michael Ghelfi, Kevin MacLeod, and other more 2spooky music like OSTs from Silent Hill and Amnesia and musicians like Lustmord and Ahasverus. The latter two I think are called dark industrial ambient or darkwave or something, don't know and don't really care that much except to identify the kind of music so I can know what to websearch to find more like it.
