Hail Blessed Mary
With all my heart I praise Thee, Most Holy Virgin above all angels and saints in Paradise, Daughter of the Eternal Father, and I consecrate to Thee my soul with all its faculties.

O my Mother, preserve me this day (or night) from mortal sin

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee! Blessed art Thou among women and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Here is a good prayer to pray throughout the Octave of the Immaculate Conception (suppressed in 1955 after the promulgation of Cum nostra hac aetate).

Ant. This is the rod in which was neither knot of original sin, nor rind of actual guilt.
℣. In thy conception, O Virgin, thou was immaculate.
℟. Pray for us to the Father, Whose Son thou didst bring forth.

Let us pray.
O God, who, by the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin, didst prepare for Thy Son a worthy habitation, we beseech Thee, that as Thou didst preserve her from every stain by the foreseen death of this Thy Son, so Thou wouldst grant that we also, being cleansed from guilt by her intercession, may come to Thee. Through the same Christ our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.

I've been praying the rosary, everyday. And its been a tremendous help when fighting temptation, and improved secular aspects of my life. I felt more guided. Im very thankful to our blessed mother, pray the rosary everyday, your life will change.

>I consecrate to Thee my soul
You've solemnly dedicated/set-apart your soul to the service and worship of Mary?

Wouldn't it follow that Mary was therefore the only human to earn Heaven? The only human who had no need of Christ's atonement? In Luke 1:47, did Mary only consider God to be her Saviour in a present physical sense (i.e., lifting her up from her low estate)? If she was conceived without sin, and lived her entire life without sin, then she had no need of Jesus at all. There's some seriously blasphemous implications in these doctrines.

Yeah it kinda begs the question if God allowed Mary to be conceived without original sin why couldn't mankind as a whole be conceived without original sin?

This. It goes against prior teaching that no one is perfect.
The "immaculate conception" started about 1954, and quoted Sixtus IV, who made no such claim from the Chair of Saint Peter.
It looks like freemason women's liberation to me, and against the faith
Whatever. I'm done with these false Catholic faiths.
>With all my heart I praise Thee, Most Holy Virgin above all angels and saints in Paradise
Mary is none of these things. She gets a big head over being chosen incidentally, and carries on pridefully despite the blessing (which she in no way earnt)
This thread is more heretical than /islam/

Mary was not prideful. That was her virtue. That bad Catholics have wrongly turned her into a 4th person of God is a wickedness upon the bad Catholics.
Again, it was Pius XII that tried to make it part of the faith. If you read older books from the 19th century, there's no Mary worship in them. The faith was corrupted. The gates of hell prevailed because Catholics weren't keeping the faith.
The only infallible Catechism from a Pope, the Catechism of the council of Trent, says:
1) Mary was a virgin before, during and after the birth of the Christ.
2) All prayers to saints must include "Pray for us" and never ask for blessings from saints, give glory to saints, or anything else that is properly only given to God.
3) Christ was born from the power of the Holy Ghost.
4) Mary crushed the head of the snake by giving birth to the Lord Jesus Christ.

>That was her virtue.
Her virtue was her obedience to God, willingness to serve God, and her humility
I remember someone saying the jewish Kabbalah could be resolved by Mary.
Was it true?
I know this is a slow board, but I would have hoped the Catholics that do browse this board would provide some rebuttals.

What about Jesus’s siblings? I suspect Catholics already have an answer for this but I’ve never looked into it.

By what's passed down to us, those were children of a prior marriage.

As for why Mary would be untouched after giving birth, think about it: if you were a practicing jew in the 1st century, would you be the one to stick your dick in the Ark of the Covenant?

While you can draw some parallels between Christ and the Ten Commandments (and manna) contained in the Ark of the Covenant, it's not a perfect analogy.
-Christ is also the lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world. The blood of the animal sacrifice was sprinkled upon the mercy seat, which was upon the lid of the Ark of the Covenant, whereupon God appeared in the cloud. This doesn't fit with Mary being the Ark.
-Uzzah was struck dead for touching the Ark in an attempt to save it from falling off the cart and hitting the ground. There's no record of anyone being struck dead for touching Mary while helping her.
-The Ark was carried from place to place and kept in the Tabernacle, and later, the Temple.
-Mary was never kidnapped as a spoil of war like the Ark was.
-50,070 men were smitten by the Lord for looking into the Ark (1 Sam. 6:19).
-The contents of the Ark remained there permanently (at least they were supposed to). Christ didn't remain in Mary as a permanent abode.

And you're looking back after two millenia. Would Joseph have even considered this analogy?

This >>26137 goes too far. I don't remember any scripture about Mary being prideful.

The scriptures reference Jesus' brothers and sisters (Matthew 12:46-49; and Matthew 13:55-56; Mark 6:3). Mary was a virgin until Christ was born. There's nothing untoward about suggesting she had a normal marital relationship with her lawful husband afterwards, producing children who would be half-siblings with Christ:
"And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." Matthew 1:25 KJV

>"But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son. And he gave Him the name Jesus."
https://biblehub.com/matthew/1-25.htm

This language makes it quite clear that Joseph did consumate his marriage with his wife Mary. Just not until the baby Jesus was born. I honestly find this 'Eternal Virgin' thing pretty silly, regarding the woman. She certainly is the most blessed of all female homo sapiens sapiens, but she's still after all a woman. In her case she's clearly a believer and so she'll be in Heaven for eternity with God, as will every other Christian. Quite frankly, 'that's' her greatest claim to fame IMO -- that she's a Christian, a part of the body of Christ -- and will serve God forever (same as the rest of us actually-saved Christians).
Is it true that Catholics believe that Mary is without sin? if so why?

Those who believe Pius XII was a legit Pope, yes.
Those who understand that Pius XII was a Rothschild Puppet, and go by the faith of the council of Trent, no. They believe that everyone was born with original sin.

Martin Luther believed it too.
The reason is that it was an attempt to make ancient roman religion more christian by taking statues of Hera and turning them into Mary. Which was good enough at the time but not when it started to become more about worshipping said statues as if they were on pair with the Trinity.
