Matthew 22
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 'On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.'

Galatians 5
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; 'Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.'
♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍

the music thread is gone so I'm posting these by themselves instead. At my assembly today it was reminded that ALL the law is fulfilled and HANGS on the commandment of love. How much do we make sure we're right with the law and doing the right thing and we ignore the actual focus of God and his will from the beginning his commandment. Death experiences have told us of the great love when in the light of God. Many of us have known moments when we have been put in front of God's love and how much we want to live in it forever and how much we will live in it forever.

You want to be the animal that's the poster child for passiveness and herd-ability? I'd rather be a Muslim. They at least want to be wolves(predators) and not prey animals and for being an "anti art" religion they can come up with much better music than this.

Religious people are interested in what interests them rather than what is true. How are you going to go to the Kingdom of Heaven without being a sheep of the messiah. "Oh I'm just going to go to the general Heaven." No such thing exists. Daniel's prophecy was the first realisation of the hope for humanity, the salvation of humanity. A kingdom that would be created without human hands and that would grow. God declared a New Covenant was coming which Jesus began. Jesus began the Kingdom. There was nothing before and there's never been anything after. Real Orthodox Jews don't believe in "going to Heaven".

Muslims are the first to say "God doesn't need your prayers! He doesn't need you! We need him!" Yeah well maybe you should actually take that seriously, he doesn't need your prayers... That should worry you. "Well I'm just continuing the true religion from ancient times (somehow without a temple and sacrifices and Day of Atonement) I don't need any reward! I worship God because I want to bro!"
Well God doesn't want to send anyone to Sheol and he does want to give people eternal life, many times Jesus uses the term everyone, he calls everyone. God says his ways are not our ways and his thoughts not our thoughts, we need to know what is true, from his perspective what is he doing what does he want.

I don't know what the end result will be what everything will turn out like, the child soldiers in Africa who are raised into that life or a very upright man who of this or that religion. I don't know. But in the worst case scenario, just in case, I would say it's quite a risk to not go with what I think is simply the truth.

its gonna be hard to find quality modern Christian music, heres some ive found tho.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb1WduRG85U

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMnJVooIw9g

the lyrics on this one are good but the sound kinda makes them hard to hear:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_TV6ZgsLBM

same with this one:
https://soundcloud.com/negativexp/my-death

https://soundcloud.com/negativexp/kyle

https://soundcloud.com/negativexp/i-saw-the-light

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9IfHDi-2EA&list=PLRZhgJgc1Q27Kq3HEn3f_XnNL7_wQuEdP&index=1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti-FtTz8t5U

this artist has alot of songs, not all of them are Christian related but still good:

God doesn't need our prayers he doesn't need us or anyone. Yet he's going to reward you because you ate halal and prayed a lot, maybe. Everyone in the old testament aside from two people who were taken somewhere, their souls went down to Hell which is really I think a whole world in itself, but it'll all be cast into the lake of fire.

God has to judge and we know he judges very individually. So at the very least if you knowingly reject Jesus as saviour that's certainly not good and I think it's the real key, given the choice, given the chance how did you respond to the message of Jesus the good news. What chance could you possibly have on your own. I do not want to be judged by a holy perfect God, I do not want all my sins to be pushed onto me. I've never even made any animal sacrifices for my sins. I'm in very deep trouble unless I'm hiding behind Jesus. The Bible says it's a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of God. I could go on, but, stop being Muslim, it's a stupid whacky religion that Catholics accidentality invented.

>stop being Muslim,
I'm not. I drink beer, eat pork and do all sorts of other things that aren't halal, I only bring up Islam at all to prove my point. Even Muslims can use music to make their religion look appealing and bring people over to their cause, and yet most if not all forms of music and strongly discouraged if not outright forbidden depending on the specific group.
Just look at these three videos and other content from the same creators:
https://archive.org/details/arise-o-mujahid-native/Arise+O+Mujahid+(480P).mp4
https://archive.org/details/bi_jihiadina
https://archive.org/details/Nasheed_with_English_translation_66
Now compare that with the whiny, pathetic sounding bullshit you see posted in this thread.
>I wanna be a sheep
>If I were a butterfly
versus
>Arise O Muhajid
>Through our Jihad

Its because that music is made by whiny sheltered westerners. Its not really a religious thing only to be honest.

Not really sure what you're trying to say. There's no such thing as a difference between Christian and Muslim music. No is stopping you from listening to Gregorian chants and Crusader songs. Has zero do to with any belief, although Islam I believe thinks music is haram in some way. https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/psa/150/1/s_628001

It's geographical. Middle Eastern music and Arabian music and African tribe music, there's no such thing as a "Christian genre" or a "Muslim genre" of music. The reason there's no Islamic country music is because Christians invented country music in North America. Why is there no Islamic Children's songs? There is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTq7jCLqWd4

Now the Jewish kids music:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHrIizIy-S8
All kinds of Jewish songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEQS3-p1HRc

And all I can do is wonder what the end will be. What's gonna happen. The reality of the baptism of the Holy Spirit cannot be ignored, it's obviously a real thing. I don't know what'll happen to the Orthodox Jew and the Muslim. The other day I noticed why the present verb stuff can be important. Jesus said few are finding the path to life. Not "Few are those who find it". "Few are those finding it." which is a ultimate eternal statement rather than a present one. Which I hope gives a possibility of good things.

I was thinking of doing an art thread. But I haven't. I haven't a lot of biblical event images that I think are pretty cool. I was starting to wonder about art of Jesus looking more off than we might think. This is Brandon Robbins idea of what Jesus looked like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9dqVXN61mI
Still probably make that art thread soon or just upload all the images to a folder. I've got a lot of useful images, I'd like to tell the entire New Testament one passage at a time just from various art.

I hope everyone is trying their best to get believers gathered in your area. We need to be gathering together in the actual world and sticking together and accomplishing things. I'm struggling myself to do this. Lots of people just want their job and secular friends. I only want Christian lovers and to be with believers and handing out New Testaments and living together.
And that is too much to ask, indeed. I don't wanna be on the internet it makes me break out in a rash and I have nothing else to do.
Indeed try and form real life groups.

Paul's final two letters when he's at his oldest and wisest it's no wonder in them he rebukes all the senseless arguing that he himself was probably caught up in many times through life.

Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they don’t argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear. Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness (Second letter of Paul to Timothy)

I desire that you insist confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. (Letter of Paul to Titus)

Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility towards all men. For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. (Letter of Paul to Titus)

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, 'I have kept the faith.' (Second letter of Paul to Timothy)

Paul couldn't keep the law or the rituals he kept the only thing anyone can keep until the end.

Andrew Peterson's Passover US by the way is the only normie song that should be allowed in the Church. Because I personally like it. "OOOOOOOOH please!" trumpets yan Christian volk "Who cares if it's a typical normie song what matters is the lyrics!" So should we hang deviantart level Jesus pictures in the church too. They got all the classic details about Jesus right maybe it's a picture of him on the cross, but the picture still has to look good. The people in charge of what songs to sing at church always seem not that great I personally think, I don't like these normie boring weak limp wrist songs. You know what I'm talking about don't you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-1fwZtKJSM And they have so so so many views because so many churches use this song, looking at the MUSIC VIDEO alone makes you wonder what the heck is this? Assembly? This am Assembly music forthwith? Straightway? And when Peter was come down? "But songs have to be slow in order for people to be able to sing them together." Yeah that's fine, lyrics are okay but now you look at Upper Window what church is singing Upper Window. It's got the genericness but it's also about a literal bible event and it sounds good actually which you don't get with a lot of these hymns, I think it's important at least. Jesus Paid It All really touches me and I can see other people thinking it's generic. So certainly I'm sure some of the generic garbage out there has touched people.
And we sing too many songs in Assembly, mine does SIX, think that's enough? There's old people there can't even stand for it all. Yes it is I... the complainer, behold my flowing tassels bitterness. This says me with the backwards sword: I am not happy as it stands with Assembly music. Observe that this board has made minor improvements, observe then that I wish deeply for the music to be fixed in Assembly. And why don't people use the Psalms much at all. "My assembly doe-" that's great. I think my last Assembly sang two of the Psalms.... I mean really think about it why do we have an entire book of the Bible with songs in it and we don't use it, what? I wish I could find the John Barnett video of him explaining so well how Churches perform music for themselves. And I would say that if the music doesn't have a connection with anyone then there's really no point in singing.
Look, I'm just upset my assembly does 6 "christian charts top ten songs" every time, it kind of feels like an after thought.
And big music I think is really important to every so often do go crazy with loud cymbals and trumpets as the Bible says to do and as many Jews still have that tradition of actually moving and being excited in their music. Do I blame the Catholic church? Yes, I do blame them for everything frankly so yes in some way it's probably their fault I would assume that my church does SIX songs which most of them I don't care for. Either put together the best hymns of history or sing psalms at least no one like me the complainer can complain if a Psalm is bad instead I'll just complain about the particular rendition of it.
Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me also has that generic feel to it but it's good. It just feels like some people can't tell the difference between good and bad generic music and that goes for the world. Like when you hear horrible heavy bass music from a car and it's like "HELE UMPA SAYD O YEAAAA" spanish stuff or it's gangster rap, but it's generic, but of course there is good HELE UMPA YEAAA music. I like music that's bad. That's the problem I think is that it's as if people think if they like music it's therefore good, I mean I really think many people actually think that... don't they? You know how awful this problem is if you work at a grocery store when you've heard the same songs on loop over and over again like Poker Face, it's insane, how do you get away with using bad music in public, I mean there's instrumental music that's specifically made for grocery stores, freely availible, use that. Or get someone who actually knows music to choose tons and tons of OBJECTIVELY good music, it's really that simple. There is such a thing as objectively good music which is the only music you should be playing in public settings or getting public assemblies to sing.
Welcome to church everyone sing "Winged Hussars". Can you imagine? Well I like it so it must be good. NO. I want an objective person in there. The New Testament says to not just sing Psalms from the book of Psalms and we know from the book of Psalms that there were people in charge of the music in ancient Israel and so can we get some people to really get some good songs in hmm?
I feel like this is an email I should be sending to my church but I'm writing it here instead. GET RID OF STAGES TOO. I feel like I'm losing my mind some times. We literally have stages at church. It's so ridiculous. "OH but e don't strobe lights and smoke machines and stuff." Well you might as well. The best Assembly I went to in my old city we sat in a rented out small area and there was no stage no nothing the pastor sat at the front on a stool that was it.
Though I wish we sat in circles, based on the first/second century cave assembly we discovered they sat in a circle and probably perseverated the men and women but I know also even in the New Testament Paul basically doesn't even know what to do about the different styles of Churches, the gentile women didn't want to cover their heads and Paul more or less gives up on the whole argument and says do what you want but you're wrong if you allow women not to cover their heads but the point is assemblies will be what they are I suppose until Jesus comes.

John Brown was John the Baptist for the Christ we are to see. I need to make an image to easily explain Daniel 9, just focus on how it predicts Jesus and Nero. In general I need to make more quick images for people to read.

WOMAN WHERE IS YOUR HUSBAND! HE SAID WOOOOMAN WHERE IS YOUR HUSBAND! If I had to pick one song to be with me on an island. Yes it would be this. JESUS I AIN'T GOT NO HUSBAND! HE SAID WOOOOMAN WOOOMAN YOOOOU'VE GOT FIVE HUSBANDS!

It convicts of sin. Knowing you're forgiven and going to Paradise yet every sin I still commit the Master suffered for. Every stupid failure when you realise how painful it is to the Shepherd and how you break the heart of the Lord, how you've been unfaithful to your Lover. I forgot the last post I was going to mention some issues I was having with my marriage but I don't think it's worth posting here. My wife isn't at calvary yet and I'm not acting like I am when I'm constantly being distracted. I care more about my wife than Jesus and it's been like that for a month now and every time the Spirit rises and stretches himself inside me I only get a small burst but I'm pulled back to the world's distractions and my vows are trashed. I understand my wife is my devotion until it stabilises and I want to present her. I feel like you just got to make time, that's all you need to do you got to make time with God and you got to get rid of things and fast. In other words, Fast Watch Pray, yes.
If it's just me that's one thing, I didn't consider that if you're going to take a woman as yours you are now responsible for her. I just find it difficult since we aren't totally one person yet but headed in the right direction very slowly. We live in a terrible society and I don't wanna write more I'm tired.

And how's that been working out for you? You're being outfought and outbred by Muslims at every turn. All your enemies, whether they be Nazis, Jews or satanic gangs like MS13, view you as prey and not serious opposition. In a hundred years, probably less, there won't be any Christians at all except for maybe a few tiny heresies in third world countries with no power or influence.
The people writing these songs are so soft and out of touch they can't even imagine themselves being strong and powerful, and it shows in their work. You don't have an "aura of toughness", if anything you have an aura of flabbiness.

Well I read it that's the problem. You may not read your bible but I do so it gets damaged bucko! Yeah, by the way, it never did get repaired in the end. While I'm here, I'm still working on my christian quiz board game and trust me it's going to be the ultimate christian board game. One day I will eventually make that Church simulator computer game. "I think I'll do an Anglican run this time" "Oh no the wolves have come in and three of your dioceses have voted to allow gay preachers!"
https://www.britannica.com/topic/Anglican-Church-of-Canada

But the board game has questions like:
"Recite the first three verses of Genesis." Gen 1.1-.3
"What happened when Lot lingered in Sodom after being told to flee?" Gen 19.16
See the great thing is I'm not even using answer sheets, I just give the reference so the players can see the answer for themselves in their state approved KJV Bible. So I'm pretty excited about that and the map looks nice and there's a lot more to it than just answering question cards and rolling dice to move, I mean that is mainly it though. still have 1,115 questions left to make. And I'd actually like to do a church history or extra biblical category. You've read the Pilgrim's progress but everyone I suggest reading the sequel as well, "O the madness that has possessed thee and thy husband!"

I've been struggling hardcore to find a hymn book. But I do suggest everyone go on ebay and get one for yourselves. "ebay?" Well yes you need to buy old books if you actually want to read. Modern books are all giant. Wherefore? Neither do I know it. But they used to make books decent sized.
stgerogeorg.png
[Hide] (164.6KB, 1920x790)
And by struggle I mean I'm a perfectionist but I'm sure everyone else can find a hymn book they like. It's amazing how great John Newton's other hymns are outside Amazing Grace as well. In fact Amazing Grace isn't even included in most hymn books but his other work is, Amazing Grace seems to have become more popular I think in the 1900s.
"Hymnal companion to the Book of Common Prayer"
"Hymns Ancient and Modern"
"Book of Common Praise"
You can see all the versions of these on internet archive. If you go on ebay and look for a book of common prayer with a hymn book attached it'll be one of those that's attached. Although maybe I shouldn't suggest people buy them because I'm on the hunt. I actually just bought 5 of these pocket sized Common Prayer with Hymns books from ebay. So there's no much left at least in Canada. Someone lives in Southern Ontario you can have one of mine. I bought them all just to see which I would like best. But they all have or don't have different hymns that I want!
'Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;'
'Praise him, all creatures here below;'
'Praise him above, ye heav'nly host;'
'Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.'

Last thing, while I'm on the topic of the Anglican Church, which I love, though no longer exists. The Anglican Church near me has a website and they upload their sermons in text form... here is a picture of part of one of their sermons. Allow it to really sink in. The true Anglican Church from the 1600s has this to say: Good Lord deliver us. From all sedition, privy conspiracy and rebellion; from all false doctrine, heresy, and schism; from hardness of heart, and contempt of thy Word and Commandment. We beseech thee to hear us good Lord. That it may please thee to bring into the way of truth all such as have erred, and are deceived.

Anyway, I am a musician and I love all kinds of music. I was wondering if you guys could give me any feedback as to what christian music should have?

I've been reading lots of scripture but there is something inexplicable that happens when brethren get together and chew on things.

Anything you wish christian music had? What do you think christians need to be encouraged and built up with musically?

I like the old hymns. Something with lyrics that align with sound doctrine and turn our minds toward God. As far as contemporary music goes, CityAlight is one of the better bands:

I don't like when the music itself overshadows the message and distracts from God (e.g., hooks, guitar or drum solos).

>Religious people are interested in what interests them rather than what is true.

Look around you. All I see when I go to the city is decay, decay of morals, decay of families, decay of buildings (modern materials aren't exactly built to last), decay of everything. It's almost as if we've abandoned God (the maintenance man of everything). How can everything have popped out of nothing if leaving it alone for a a mere few decades results in all this? Who're the ones "interested in what interests them rather than what is true", then?

We all need to repent, nobody on this earth is perfect, not me, not you, not anyone. We all like sheep have gone astray. We've all been NPCs at one point in our lives, as hard as a pill as that is to swallow. Think it over, I'm only replying with this because while we were still sinners, God loved us. God bless, anon.
