>we're grunge guiz XD
>that means our music is like just raw and unpolished and not like the established mainstream XD
>it's some fucking surgically created in a space lab with insane production type of sound impossible to replicate by mortal means despite knowing most of the gear used
fuck these faggots, fuck every commercial band with their "I sold my soul to the devil for this sound and you can't have it" sound. I've been fucking around with knobs, dials and levels for weeks and haven't gotten any closer. fuck them, fuck them, fuck them in the ass.

Gear doesn't mean shit it's if you understand rock/metal music or not.
This isn't electronic music, gear is just a means to an end [think Ibanez and Jackson guitars being popular with speed/thrash/death.black metal guys because of pickups and neck profiles].
Also grunge sucks. I don't care for them, but go learn Metallica songs they're "dad rock", but a much better band to learn than fucking Nirvana lol.

I'd say early Slayer up to Reign in Blood is a better option actually.
I think I started taking Guitar seriously when I started learning Fear Factory songs at 15/16 and being amazed at how tight Dino's playing was on songs like Self Bias Resistor or Lifeblind, then being shocked by sloppy he was in contrast with the early Brujeria material.

Nevermind yes, Kurt secretly wanted fame and would comply with the record executive demands to make a palatable album. Bleach and In Utero had little to no overdubbing and were recorded in the span of a few days.

I have always imagined that getting sloppy later in their careers was due to either:
<Fame ensuring they make money no matter how good or bad their playing is - thus laziness setting in.
<Drug-induced brain damage.
