*In the second try
There's no other solution other than disc formats outside of raid because modern technology has no incentive to last forever and even so it's not realistic for any storage format to last more than 10 years other than a disc of some sort but that disc falls apart if you live in a humid climate and isn't properly stored in a cold place

My digital archives are hierarchical. The smaller the files, the more important they are. The larger the files, the less redundant the storage. Top files are on DVD-R discs to avoid bitrot. They do not contain video files but emulators, ROMs, applications, operating systems, and not much else but books. The files are mostly not compressed, as despite that slowing things down, it makes damage to a drive less likely to affect as many files.
>dvd-r 4 gigs backup several times
>dvd-r 32gigs backkup (once)
>bunch of 4 gig long trashed (was mostly roms and books and apps)
>16 gigs some surviving (same as 4 gig, don't even know which go-bag to check right now)
>32 gigs several surviving (some psx isos added)
>2x 128 gigs is same as 32 but has some manga in it and moar psx isos added
>2 1tb files and 1 2tb hdd, all three the same files (fucken tv shows are too fucken big)
I keep thinking "If I make another umpc pi computer that will motivate me to move my apocolypse files to another device" but I never do this and will probably buy another ((( android ))) tablet. that reminds me, it's not 2x 1tb if you count the 1tb micro sd, it's 3x 1tb with 1x 2tb but they all have the same files mostly. The missing files are always the bigger ones and everything ont he original 4gb drives survives due to my prioritizing of certain files to the point of them seeming hierarichal in importance. They are on disc. They. Shall. Not. Be. Delete. I plan on burrying 1 of them innawoods in a time capsule and also plan to upload it, the four gig, to arxhicve.org in some cryptic profile that no one will ever see as I will list it wrong because lol fuck (((cloud))

The original 4 gigs are all I really need to not go crazy. Books and old games. Also reaction images to be honest. One of my gobags has an opendingux console with 128gb, another has a pocketgo with only 32gb. I have two three cellphones to use with the handful of micro sd cards of various prime files. Two tablets. 3 laptops, 1 broken, 1 ancient xp, not including one autistastic android netbook so old it cannot even connect to the Internet. 2 raspberry pis in pieces, almost making another two computers. Oh yeah, another netbook lying over here.... how many computers do I have? Giant desktop here.... there are many computers in this room IDK anymore. I just found another android console, it's in the shape of a gameboy but I've never even used it....point is that some of these devices have filse on them. Even the one I've not used has it's own roms though I'd want to add my own. via it's external sd or whatever. I also have like 9 5v fans and my sollar array in totality genrates 182w for like 10 hours per day.... I only have 3 very large batteries though....car bat, hand crank bat, really big lithium bat that's been defunked, another defunked that's half broken, many small banks here and there, even two of the fans are bat banks....but now I"m off topic. Will your files be usable when the bombs fall? Mine will anon.... mine will.....because I don't even now how many times the 4 gig was backedu p if I don't even know how many 'computers' are in this room. Trying to count:
>nxhope console
>opendingux console
>android console
>android netbook (is it android 5?)
>laptop linux
>other laptop xp
>other netbook win7
>pi zero
>pi 3a
>tablet 1 (android 10)
>tablet 2 (android 5)
>cia 10 desktop
12x 4gig "prime" files. I will be okay even without the external drives as I always copy the sacred first four into every new 'general use' computer. I just realized I have an unused upgrade for my linux laptop that's also 2tb or maybe 1tb, Idk I never even opened it after spilling beer on my computer and then having to replace the thing. A cmos battery makes it forget the time and I have to mess with the bios every time I turn it on. I should take it apart at some point to fix it but have not yet. The broken one should have perfectly fine cmos.....further evidence thaat I procrastinate too much....The four gig come from the xp of cours, but also from an android 4.4 tablet that I had as well that is long gone. One tabet is android 5, the netbook is also 5, both very dated. The tablet, new one, is android 10.....not that it matters. Point is that 11x redundant without regard to the actual disc/flashdrive/(micro)sd/hdd of which makes it probably 11x redundant again if only coutnting the 4gig files as truly important.

I just got an idea! We need to launch a computer into space at near the speed of light! TIME WILL DIAL 8

I also take too long to type. Plus too fast In being bored or tired or distracted by other stuff when I type too long. The second one was because of ADHD. But I don't know the cause of the first one.

Not true. Magnetic-tape data storage exists and in theory could last forever if taken care of right, you just have to remagnetize them every so often.
