“The more I argued with them, the more I got to know their dialectics. First they counted on the ignorance of their adversary; then, when there was no way out, they themselves pretended stupidity. If all this was of no avail, they refused to understand or they changed the subject when driven into a corner; they brought up truisms, but they immediately transferred their acceptance to quite different subjects, and, if attacked again, they gave way and pretended to know nothing exactly. Wherever one attacked one of these prophets, one's hands seized slimy jelly; it slipped through one's fingers only to collect again in the next moment. If one smote one of them so thoroughly that, with the bystanders watching, he could but agree, and if one thus thought he had advanced at least one step, one was greatly astonished the following day. The Jew did not in the least remember the day before, he continued to talk in the same old strain as if nothing had happened, and if indignantly confronted, he pretended to be astonished and could not remember anything except that his assertions
had already been proved true the day before.
Often I was stunned. One did not know what to admire more: their glibness of tongue or their skill in lying.
I gradually began to hate them.”
Before reading anything that might need your attention for long periods of time, do not engage with any screens or electronics for about 30 minutes. Do not have any music playing in the background either, keep it silent. This will help detox dopamine levels and build focus and concentration. If you're using your PC or tablet to read, do not any other tabs or programs open until you finished what you're reading. If you must read paragraph by paragraph and take short breaks in silence to help rebuild stamina. Also helps if what you are reading is something that you actually enjoy.
I might also add that reading a physical book helps me concentrate more than if I were to read it digitally. Reading physical print helps me memorize what I've read even more. There's just something of being able to hold the book and having your fingers touch the pages that makes it easier to retain information. If you're reading a PDF, try printing it to get that physical touch.

You must be raped by a high iq man and when his semen enters your stomach you will become smart

I can't notice any difference, as long as you keep enough distance from the screen and keep the font big enough to avoid squinting. Assuming you can have the whole screen area for relevant text without any notifications or other dumb shit interrupting the concentration. The only problem there is that reading dark text on bright screen background seems to tire your eyesight faster than reading a physical book. Reading on an old CRT or early LCD screens due to too low refresh rate was just painful in comparison.

This is the primary reason I prefer physical books over digital ones. Notiications are a pain in the ass and kill the mood when you're invested in a good book. My eyesight is also sensitive to prolonged screen usage. Especially up close.

Nobody forces you to read anything up close. A PC screen is much better than a smartphone for keeping the proper distance. Especially that [Ctrl]+[Mouse wheel scroll] is a thing.
