My mom likes Hello Kitty. She's not obsessed, but she has a bit of merchandise from Sanrio. I tried telling her there's some cartoons of it, but she thinks cartoons are for kids only.

You picked a weird thing to see as an example of something cute. Hello Kitty is low effort icon, because you don't even know if it's whiskers or something else, growing around her eyes. I'd rather pick something else made with more attention to detail and more details actually. How do you think it looks reproduced in 3 dimensions, for example.

I also recommended Monster to her because she likes mystery, but she only watched a couple minutes of it. Maybe she'd read the manga if I bought it for her.

Also that last picture reminded me of a funny image I saw criticizing Hello Kitty traumacore stuff. Think it went something like "Hello Kitty is cute and innocent, you're just a mentally ill freak" and I think there was a guy with long hair.
