You can use a frontend for major streaming services that improves the experience. There's invidious for youtube and I think a similar service exists for spotify. But you should just download music you want and save it locally.

I tried this before using Nginx and OBS. It worked but the quality was so bad and it lagged so hard that it was unwatchable. Streaming on a regular streaming service worked fine. High quality and no lag. I thought my VPS wasn't powerful enough so I tried it with my desktop over LAN and it was just as bad. This was years ago so maybe technology and hardware have improved since then.
