Making chicken jerky at the moment I'll post how it turns out
Been marinating a ribeye in a mixture of chili oil, sesame oil, soy sauce and oyster sauce for about 7 hours now. Gonna let it go for a few more. Hopefully it turns out well. Debating whether I should pair it with macaroni and cheese or Buldak spicy noodles.

Marinated it in sugar free ketchup, salt, and pepper. It's actually decent. Next time I think I'll make a barbecue with the ketchup with monk fruit brown sugar

Update, I tried some with no marinade and just dipped them in ketchup. This is definitely the tastiest way to eat it

How dry is it compared to beef jerky? My steak looks ugly, but it tastes alright. The sweetness from the oyster sauce is noticeable.
>>245487
How did you make a steak that ugly? The fuck did you cook it on?

A cast iron pan.

oyster sauce, huh. I'll try it

I marinated it for over 12 hours in a mix I mentioned above. Adding some spices, too, would probably make it taste even better. This is the first time I used oyster sauce for anything. I looked online and apparently it's more authentic based on the amount of oyster extract. Well, I got a Thai brand with oyster powder instead. Don't know if that's bad or not, but I didn't know there were big differences between brands. I kept seeing people recommend the variety from Lee Kum Kee that has a boy and woman rowing a boat on the label. Not sure if the posts recommending it were shills so I'll have to verify myself long into the future, but the bottles are quite large and I'm not sure how to use it in many cases. Guessing small quantities of it can go a long way in many sauces.

Sounds like it is for a broth

The reason I got some was because I wanted to figure out how to make the typical Chinese takeout brown sauce. I made it without a supposed couple key ingredients, oyster sauce being one of those, and it ended up tasting like oversalted gravy. The alleged story behind oyster sauce is that some chinky retard fell asleep while heating some sort of oyster broth/soup, then awoke to find it condensed down into something akin to oyster sauce. That story is tied into the name of the brand I previously mentioned, but I have no clue if it's true or not personally. Still, I saw people (or maybe bots/shills) say one or two tablespoons of it can add a lot to various dishes, including Western sauces with tomato bases.

It's drier than beef jerky without marinade. I need to find a marinade recipe that's low carb

Oh in case you didn't know I have a meat slicer and I cut up all that chicken in a couple minutes
>>245501
I figured it would just be quite a bit more dry since the fat on poultry is generally not as incorporated into tissue as it is on things like beef or pork.

It definitely is drier. I'm thinking about getting a meat grinder so I can make chicken jerky as moist as this

That's inhumane. Sheep are cute and provide us with wool. You shouldn't eat them when you already have cows pigs and chicken, especially not baby sheep.
>>246319
Meat is different from beef or pork, much juicer
And if any other animal was smarter then us, we would be food, also stop fucking sheep

I love lamb. It's fallen out of fashion in the US. I don't think spics and niggers are big fans. Used to have it often, especially during holidays, some decades ago.

Scrambled free range eggs with heavy whipping cream and west gold it the best damn eggs I've ever had. I've had west gold butter all by itself and it tastes amazing
>>246537
Its fucking easy. Heat up the pan to moderately high heat put the fish in and periodically check the bottom until it's golden brown then you flip it and wait until the other side is the same and it's done. Of course if you have a shit pan there's a very high chance it's going to stick to the bottom of the pan
>>246537
Also, baked fish is fucking nasty. I prefer my fish to be even cooked on both sides and one side to not be soggier than the other
>>246537
Use a tiny amount of lemon pepper as well
