I have a theory that the more time a boy spends on his own in the woods, the more mentally healthy he will be.
While I did own a few computer games and video games, fate and poverty led me to spend most of my free time in the woods, as a child and as a teenager.
Now, as an adult, I often find myself baffled at how npc and vacant my friends are. It's personality frustrating just how little most people question things. It seems that the common factor connecting them that I didn't go through was lots of video games growing up. I used to spend hours and hours just wandering around the woods thinking. I doubt girls would benefit as much as boys from solitude, but boys need time alone to think about themselves. Video games are better than tv, but still mentally stunting.

The tragedy is that knowing this is useless information unless you have a kid yourself. Boys want to play video games and most parents are not serious about their children's mental health. So it's impossible to convince anyone to change their behavior.

The enemy benefits from mentally castrating men because females are much less likely to revolt against even the most repressive governments, they are primarily risk averse. Men crave change and are much more likely to become violent over affronts to personal dignity and honor. Yet men are uniquely vulnerable to video game addiction. And the lack of introspection makes it impossible to even realize that you are addicted.
mental health is genetic health

Loneliness is only good for introverts and some types of deviants/mavericks so I kinda agree.

I fell asleep in the thread and psoted afterwards. Made an ass of myself how? If I were a samefag, if that is what you are implying, I'd have deleted the message and tried again really quick. I assume a deleted comment that I thought I was replying to was kill during my snoozery.

it is as useless as you let it be.

there are many boys out there who see strangers's faces more often than the face of their father.

they are thirsty for advice.

Sadly, I see this a lot.
It takes patience to reach young boys, especially the ones who need advice.

The woods are great but don't forget that prairies, deserts, beaches, swamps, and mountains are great too. Bringing back native ecosystems would be one of the greatest things we can do to increase the quality of life on Earth. Boys turn out messed up when their needs are suppressed from birth. Urban environments and overbearing authority are horrible for mental health. Natural environments teach people the beauty of things that are not designed by humans and how insignificant humans are on the grand scale. Video games are the only escape from the horror of society that some people have. When boys live in a sterile suburb with no sidewalks, get harassed by the police just for riding a bike, and see nothing but concrete, mcmansions, and mowed lawns, it's no wonder they go crazy.
