The times when people won't give a damn will return gloriously. The now overused shaming language with its 'isms and 'phobes will become ineffective but then the cycle of moral outrage will repeat.

People always were like that but you used to die if pissing people off before cameras went up in the mid 1980s (in most places?) In Rome they put you on a cross.  If a commie or gay they killed you until recently. If a nigger in the wrong place they killed you. After the Civil War in the USA, as I'm obviously from the US, some guy in the north said the president deserved it and was nearly stomped to death by a crowd in public. It's genetic diversity. If everyone were the same they'd possibly be able to get along.

While some people are sensitive and thrive in the current year mentality, most of them are just cold, calculating opportunists who pretend to be offended by everything and thus take advantage of the it.
What I really hate is the self victimization shtick as it tries to exploit empathy, a quality which in moderation is one of mankind's greatest qualities.
