Maybe you had in mind the sort of working-class or lower-middle class yeoman/mittelstand person that forms a lot of the sort of populist right coalition in many western countries, but they aren't really "low IQ," they're about average. Most probably fall in the 90 to 110 range, I'd guess, since you're talking anything from tradesmen to small business owners to some lower-end vocation/profession work.

Debatable but I see how someone could come to that conclusion. I think of the older liberalism as mainly codifying the natural state of being for the Anglo up to that point, and lacks a lot of the more recent pathologies like homosexuals, feminism, and the obsession with opposing racism, and the generalized effort to free retards/dysgenics from the consequences of their behavior. The great mistake was in universalizing it and assuming that everyone everywhere could learn to be an Englishman. You could of course argue that the liberalism of then led us to where we are now, so it must have had some lurking problems.

Not really. A lot of the pathologies that western elites promote publically they don't really engage in themselves. Conversely, low-IQ people who can't see the past the double-talk end up believing in the stuff wholesale, which is how you end up with gender goblins in trailer parks (more common than you might expect). Intelligence confers more options for action in the future and greater ability to solve problems. Raw IQ is far from the only important trait but there's never any legitimate reason to select against it.
