Millennials were like the first generation that did not have the past's negative and IMO correct view of women but millennials also were not yet jaded and cynical about the reality of women yet like we are now in the age of Onlyfans. So at this unique juncture you had guys not simping, millennials were not simping like with what's happenig now, but were instead idealizing women. You can see this in the music from that era. It was very much about love and romanticism. Millennials were hit by a bizarre return of the young Goethe's dictum that "the eternal feminine draws us on high."
