We’re lowering the post limit for threads on /b/ to 300 posts, with the bump limit lowered to 270.
Activity has dropped since the current limits were originally set, leaving too many threads to stagnate in the catalog. Lowering said limits should encourage faster turnover and make room for new threads, helping keep the boards more active.
Threads that have already reached 300 posts will be locked. If you want to continue a thread, simply start a new one.
Cyclical threads will have the posts exceeding the new limit automatically deleted.
The change will take effect in 48 hours. Please archive any threads you care about and save any pics you want to keep, as they may be pruned sooner after the new limits are in place.
