Can't believe this dumb retard is the true leader of the elves. I'm glad the MC still don't trust her since she seemed fine with him dying. At this point I would even say that japanese-western fantasy races are their own thing far removed from the original mythology. Kind of like the birth of new mythology but it's fueled by mediocrity for the most part.
Sadly good fantasy anime is pretty rare and to be honest I'd settle for anything unique. I will still watch the fantasy trash as long it can be comfy when I turn off my brain.

Good fantasy in general is rare. I've never been a massive fantasy nerd, though.
Always have preferred stuff like mechs and sci-fi didn't really like GL, just plain dumb and gay, or EVA, which just didn't have that great of a story. 
 I don't really like imaginary politics that just project the real world onto a fictional one and the author coming up with their own magic solution

I'm slightly behind the seasonal anime schedule. Now that I've been thinking about what to write here, I've notice there is a lot of those shoelaces anime this season and it has been a trend in anime in recent seasons. The 'unique' thing here is that it's on a national level rather than a simple adventurer party but as always to make such setting work you need some stupid or outrageously dense MC that is fine with being abused. Sadly this mean the best part is often missing which is of course bullying back those niggers who previously abused you with a smug look on the face.
The episode end with the country who sold the MC asking her back but it's such a retarded thing even by shitty anime standards. A party being carried by a single individual is very possible, but a nation full of retards wouldn't survive a month on their own. If I was the king or prince I would just simply state that there are no refunds and all sales are final while plotting to kidnap free the MC's sister and wait for that shithole to collapse on its own before extorting unfair treaties using my better economy.
I'll be off to watch another shoelace anime which I think is slightly better but I don't think it's hard to do better than Kanpekiseijo...

There it is, the episode where the retards figure out they can't even do basic stuff such as tying their own shoe laces and are begging for the MC to come back. His screams were pretty funny and at least the MC's harem bullied him properly. I enjoy this anime more than the previous one because it's full of 'based retards' and their comedic effect and unserious tone make it way more enjoyable than if it was an anime that take itself seriously. I think I like the trope where some races are genuine retards.
If I were to guess why these shoelaces stories are getting more and more anime adaptations, I'd say salarymen feel unloved in their black companies that refuse to see their true power so they self-insert in a retard who don't know they are overpowered and will be missed when gone out of the black company. That being said, take a retard to self-insert as a retard...

Another shoelace fantasy anime. This one is funnier because the MC is actually retarded and he doesn't piss me off because he actually suck at combat.
The animation itself suck especially around the fight with the demon, but I liked how he just killed the fake princess without saying some stupid monologue before doing it.
This anime is definitely of worse quality but it's comfier and funnier than Kanpekiseijo and unlike a ton of those shitty anime there seem to have an actual intrigue going on even if the MC is too retarded to notice.

I just hope the culture barrier will stay up and only stuff commissioned by americans is that pozzed while the japanese anime/manga industry don't deviate like the video game industry did. There is an economic incentive to follow western trends because the market is growing but I hope they are wise enough to understand that it's because of the cultural difference that anime is popular not because it's cartoons with another art style. So far, I think the main issue is modernity erasing some of the cultural walls via the global internet culture. Oh and also gay ass fuck translators ruining and rewriting translations and editing out stuff like in that anime where a gang use the swastika as a symbol which got removed by CR. Of course the last one isn't an issue if you aren't an EOP or as long as there are fan translators/editors.

I forgot about Ore wa Seikan Kokka no Akutoku Ryoushu because it aired 3 eps in advance and there was a lot of downtime until the 4th episode. Another great isekai shitposting anime, I guess we must be reaching the era of the isekai trend where most isekai make fun of their own genre since there is a lot of anime that doesn't take themselves too seriously. A good thing, they are better and comfier that way. Sci-fi are rarer than fantasy in anime these day but isekai sci-fi are even rarer but not unheard of; if anything I think isekai sci-fi are generally way better than their fantasy counterpart but that's also because there is a smaller sampe of them. Would you get to see the new gundam fondle tits and air-hump because the pilot want to FUCK? I don't think so, well in this anime the shota MC did it and in front of all of his noble retainers too.

Today episode was about setting up a heist and seeing the two main girl fight over MC's retarded dick while he has no idea about it. The festival itself was just a slideshow with sound effects being put over it, a true comfy shitty isekai anime must always be as cheap as possible! The most recent non-shit anime I watched was Frieren. Other animes I liked include Seirei no Moribito and Biao Ren aka "Blades of the Guardians" (a Chinese anime but actually decent). I don't mind shonen and if it's proper quality I don't mind shojo or josei either. I just want quality.

Watch everything with a synopsis that doesn't give you aids, you'll find worthwhile seasonal anime and rarely(I'd say 2-3 per year) actually good anime that transcend being seasonal trash. If you don't watch then you don't know what is good. If you watch review or only follow recommendations then you have no tastes because you just follow trends. Recommendations are fine, but you shouldn't focus only on that. There is also the fact that time is need, when you watch some seasonal anime it might look mediocre but give it time you will notice it actually stand out and you underrated it when it aired. The opposite is even more true, lots of overrated, overhyped trash that in the end will be forgotten the moment it stop airing.
I'd say my favorite anime from recent seasons have to be Dungeon Meshi, Frieren, Dark Gathering, Kaminaki and Kono Sekai wa Fukanzen Sugiru. I think some are objectively good, but I know that Fukanzen is probably something not a lot of people will like.

When there is a new season I check all the new episodes of fresh anime as they air on anidb. If something look shit like otome or sports anime or shitty anime made to advertise a shitty manga/prefecture of japan/gay industry, I won't even pick it up. Otherwise I add the anime to my qbittorent's rss feed which make dling it weekly easy. If it turn into pure cancer, il just stop watching it. I generally watch the shitty but comfy anime while eating or when I have nothing else to do. I have definitively a mental hierarchy on seasonal anime; I have been bored enough to keep up the pace with Enen no Shouboutai but it's a shitty and generic shonen so I don't even bother blogposting it in this thread. Meanwhile for kanpeki seijou, I made a post iit but I haven't watched anything after ep5 and for the 300year slime-witch anime, I stalled it at ep3. So don't feel bad about dropping or stalling seasonal anime, using the RSS feed, I can always pick it back up easily and I keep a .txt file of my ongoing anime. The issue is when you stalled an anime so hard that the next season came and suddenly there is no reason to be watching that shitty seasonal anime anymore.

As for Dungeon Meshi, I'm not really a mangafag(I'm a VN and animefag) so I haven't read it but I always heard people speak of it highly. I didn't watch when it aired because there was production issues so I waited for the whole anime to air to speed-watch it. It was nice despite having awful original animes at time, Trigger's animation has a style that feel fresh. Somehow with some anime, they got that fresh feeling that they aren't generic seasonal mass-produced slop. I don't know how to explain it, maybe the director and studio are feeling good and passionate so they put some actual effort into the anime. The ending of the anime end with the party going after the now transformed sister of the MC so there could be a sequel. I mostly liked it because of the world building, the comfy vibe of exploring, being in a dangerous place yet living or even thriving in there and the characters are somewhat unique when you compare them to the mass of generic fantasy niggers you seen in every single isekai/fantasy anime. Somehow this anime reminded me of the Brothel reviewer anime in term of fantasy worldbuilding vibes
