>This alt chan is by far superior to all the others, If anything we should reunite here
This is… inherently the problem. Everyone thinks that and right now there's no organized effort apart from "we're here" posts. There's a lot of merits to many alts and it's hard to choose where to make our home. Everyone, myself included have found places that are comfy and I can see ourselves using, but it's not an easy choice.
>Link the other threads from the other alt chans, It would be a great shame to be left in darkness once more
And I've spent the last few days doing just that across a few places, but only linking to places I was aware had some of us there. If the result is that we're a bit more unified than before then I count that as a win, 5-7 groups is a lot better than 40 and a few hundred lost /jp/sies.
Something like a "/jp/ consolidation" has to come from a board/site owner level and cooperate to sort people out. Either deciding amongst themselves or maybe putting it to a poll for their 4/jp/ populations to choose what we'd think would be best. Individually we can't raise the same level of awareness and attention as they do as I mentioned in the last point, but what we can do is talk to board owners about it and maybe set things in motion. I believe a talk between them would be a lot more polite and could actually produce a desired result than assorted anons telling others to go to X Y or Z. I loathe to use the word "shilling" but that's what it feels like even if it's important to get the word out with urgency. We don't have a lot of time to get something meaningful before 4chan is back up in whatever zombified state it ends up as. I'm just trying to be considerate.
The sucky part is it means giving up traffic when this is the best time for altchans to make a name for themselves and get new blood. For example, if we Alicefags (I'm actually a Ranfag but I like Alice too) all up and left to join another batch of /jp/sies, this board could go back to being asleep, but that's also true elsewhere. 8chan.moe's /jp/ had a big resurgence after being completely dead and its demographics looks to be almost completely ours, yet if they left to join us here or elsewhere then that board too will go back to sleep. This is also why I think it should be a discussion between board owners and site admins since it's their sites. It's not out of the question as admins from wapchan, kissu, and hikari were working and in talks to cross link their sites.
With all that said I know it's wishful thinking, but I think it's worth a shot. This is something I think is worth doing.
I should probably repost part of this in the meta thread for their opinion.
