They're all pretty good. The third one has the weakest design, but she has the charm of a ratty fujo that just rolled out of bed and onto the screen. (G)rapehag and the monkey are definitely the best ones and the former especially looking to be the most popular among artists. I don't really care much for the trap dog.
Better than the last game, and Ran got a protag slot finally so I call it a win in my book.

I went through the wiki's character list for each mainline game from EoSD on, and counted the number of portraits with either entirely bare feet or just sandals, and you're right.

Whoops, overlooked Aunn, since the wiki's version cropped out her feet, but the one on Danbooru has it. That makes her one of four toehoes (along with Cirno, Kogasa, and Mamizou) to have their toes make multiple appearances.
