>new classic
I hate remake culture and I'm automatically suspicious towards all remakes by default, and New Classic was no exception when it was announced, but after it actually came out I realized that it's actually pretty based, and PCB and IN should get the same treatment.
>includes the original unaltered game, so it's not trying to "replace" it
>doesn't need a million patches to run on modern systems
>brings mainline touhou to consoles
>the remake adds qol features and a baby mode, but doesn't butcher and casualize the main gameplay
>arranged soundtrack is nice, but it gives you an option to use the original
>touches up the art without losing the essence of the original
>sparked interest in the games; got many "huge touhou fans" excited to play it for the first time (or the first time in years)
The only thing I can complain about is that it censored the Jewish references (changed hexagrams to octagrams, changed "Star of David" spell card to "Star of Vanities") (in the remake only), but some people could see that as based anti-judaism.
