Guys, I went down the rabbit hole of AI doomsday and I found an existential threat even more pressing and imminent against humanity.
Ok, so, yesterday I was driving to the grocery store and when I parked my car I forgot to pull the handbrake. That's all well and good, but I parked on a slope, so as soon as I left the car, the first thing it did was roll downhill and kill 5 pedestrians before finally reaching level terrain. Do you guys comprehend the magnitude of the problem? The car killed all those people ON ITS OWN! Sure, I had to park it on a slope and not pull the handbrake, but all it takes is someone else parking his car on an even higher slope and we will get a runaway car murdering countless people, possibly even all of humanity if the slope is just right.
Why is nobody worrying about the car apocalypse? We could go extinct literally any second now.
