First of all, I looked up the history, and yes, the Taliban did officially oppose it, so I was wrong on that account. It still continued here and there, even among their own people, but the official narrative did oppose it. That said, it wasn't a significant factor for their rise to power, general fundamentalism was, unless you want to argue that's part of that umbrella.
That said and I know you didn't mention it, but a lot of people do, the anti-opium trade claims are largely false. During the first Taliban regime, opium was taxed and made a lot of money until being supposedly abolished in 2000, yet it was again openly resumed during the US invasion.
So, I recognize the anti-Bacha Bazi narrative as largely true, but the opium abolishment narrative that Taliban defenders often put forth is overwhelmingly false.
>Are you a hooked nose jew? It'd explain a lot; let's discuss your holy book cheering on the rape of three and six year children, male and female.
No, I'm just someone with a short shrift for bullshit and falsely accusing someone of being a Jew also falls under that.

You don't understand how humans operate. There's what humans say and then there's what humans do. They are two different things. There's a Taliban guy on Instagram who's effeminate and likely homosexual, yet has a large following. In all likeliness, he probably has BFs around him that have fucked him. People that are in power get away with more than those that don't have it. A lot of conservative politicians have taken anti-homosexual stances and then have been outed as indulging in it. Of course, I am not conflating homosexuality with pedophilia because they are not the same, regardless of what internet propagandists claim and I'm not interested in having that debate for the 1000th time here. Muslims say they're against degeneracy, but fuck goats, drink alcohol and sell drugs to finance themselves when it's expeditious. They're not unlike any other people in that regard.
