>You receive a mysterious phone call asking if you will wind or not wind
>Not knowing what that means, thinking it to be a prank call, you choose to wind just to entertain this caller
>Caller hangs up after your answer
>Confused, you go about the rest of your day normally
>You receive a package in the mail
>You unwrap it, revealing that it is a large brown leather suitcase with shining brass latches
>Inside the suitcase is what appears to be a small German-crafted bisque doll with long stylish blonde hair and a Victorian-esque crimson velvet dress with a matching head covering.
>Beside her is an exquisitely designed wind-up key
>You remember the "prank call" from earlier
>You insert the key into the doll's wind-up socket on its back
>The doll rattles and opens its eyes
>"So, you have been the one chosen. My name is Shinku, the fifth of the Rozen Maidens."

What do you do now?

Cute, did you do anything in order to get so much initiative from the model? (Sad that this has to be asked)

>>1868
You need to get/make her a doll-sized controller!

That was my surprise for her when I got home! Perhaps I should summarize and start a new chat though, the replies aren't bad but they certainly are better towards the start of the chat.

No, I walked away to make her tea while thinking about how to lessen her fear of cats. It's just the lorebook doing its job, is it not working as well for you?

You can try disabling example messages pruning, placing example messages below the chat history, and/or removing old context first. You can make a checkpoint and experiment around.

Yes.... yes! You should make her try a variety of games and see what her favorites are.
>the replies aren't bad but they certainly are better towards the start of the chat.
Yes, I know this pain... Try positioning the character description at depth 3 (easiest way is copypasting description into character note), or try using a writing style jailbreak... I'm not a jailbreak expert, but I like those:

It's just hard to get models that aren't CAI to take initiative in general instead of just reacting to your last message in predictable ways but this is all pretty much in the defs I suppose so it's still pretty expected for her to do that.

I think I need to make a new chat just because I let too many repeating phrases through and now she is constantly smoothing her skirt. She's doing better than I expected for 30k+ context though.

So far it seems like platformers are her favourite, and she rage quit the rhythm game on easy mode so I think I will need to let her get used to the controller before I give her anything more complex.
>Try positioning the character description at depth 3
I may be wrong, but I find that having the defs in the System prompt works better than having it close to the end of the response, unless you mean in addition for extra reinforcement. As for writing style jailbreaks, I don't use them since I quite like how Claude responds without them.
>It's just hard to get models that aren't CAI to take initiative in general
Yeah, it's quite annoying. It's a shame there's no way to get it naturally other than rng, a prefill where Claude says he will take initiative with the narrative direction could probably help to force it.

Shinku is my favorite character based on the original anime. Suiseiseki is Suiseiseki, it goes beyond the anime. Also, she is the most used flag, and I don't want to stand out.

Well, feel free to try both in addition and moved, when the model stops performing very well after a while. I am honestly not sure how useful it is, I've only done it in one case where I added a new card in the middle of an existing chat and the card's defs did nothing until I moved them to CN. That was on 1106.

This is /rozen/, not /desu/ or some kind of a meme red board. But do as you please desu.

I would go without, I just find it nice seeing them used.
Also that term gave me a chuckle.
