Why do the webm threads attract the lowest IQ users of this board?
They have never been good, but lately on they've become the cesspool of the board bar none.
The Gameplay from (You) threads are what these threads were meant to be about.

How about you play something instead and maybe record it? I can't believe there are fags in this board who have nothing to talk about.

pretty much, why else do you think the total amount of people we got is no more than 300-400 across the entire ring + blacked instead of 4k like the webm? 90% of people who come around, take a good look, do a 360 and moonwalk away. people keep saying

like the smoothbrains over at blacked, but the truth is it's been 4 years people are well aware these places exist and they steer away from them on purpose.

I think he's trying to say something about AI only essentially copying others work to train with but he doesn't really understand how artists learn to art. That being said unless you're one of the people who made the AI typing shit into a prompt to make the software create art for you does not entitle you to money or praise in any form (fuck you paywalling niggers on pixiv). AI art is also really fucking easy to spot and can't do anything remotely creative so it's really a non-issue at this point.

AI is good mostly for satisfying the "what if" urge without needing to spend any effort. The mix and matching of styles, though rough and uninspired, has some value to it.

>>218667
The problem with AI is that is lacks artistic direction. Artists use things like the placement and density of detail to bring focus and convey certain things. With AI the parts are all there but as a whole it lacks meaning. It's like if the image was blurred and then artificially sharpened, which is unsurprising given that's pretty much how it works.

That's just because artists are too lazy to make things that aren't the focus more detailed and AI isn't as lazy. This is like complaining that widescreen video is worse than 4:3 because there's too much stuff on the sides distracting you from the important stuff in the middle. Here are some videos for you to compare, as you can see the wide ones are better because your peripheral vision has something to look at too.

Less is more. While I won't dispute that artists are lazy, one of the most common mistake of beginners is adding too much detail.
The second pic of >>218656 has a lot of detail on the scratches of the nip panel, but that does nothing but make the drawing look busy. It's just there for the sake of being there. Same for the small plant under the bushes. It's needlessly detailed for an unimportant part of the drawing.
Painting/drawing is not photography.

Your posts have conditioned me so whenever I see CGDCT digital anime episodes beng posted on this site I'm prepared for the most retarded opinions ever held by a human being.
>that's just because artists are too lazy to make things that aren't the focus more detailed
That's because they don't need to. What for? Are you that anon that watches porno just to admire the setpieces it was filmed on?
>and AI isn't as lazy
<
>the wide ones are better because they are wider
Listen here you fucking troglodyte, bloat for the sake of bloat has no value in and out of itself. The average viewer won't waste his time staring at some tree in the background if there'd rather be looking at the foreground instead. Animators know this, so whenever they want to turn the focus to the scenery it actually stands out as opposed to the autogenerated trite you're championing for here. What's the issue with 4:3 again? Do you need your overstimulation, buddy?
Lastly, what the fuck does anything you've posted about have to do with
<the problem with AI is that is lacks artistic direction
If anything, you're making it loud and clear to >>218732 that you're retarded and can't read for your life, since he was arguing that having more shit on the screen for the sake of bloat ultimately adds nothing. Next up you'd be talking about why Unreal Engine 4/5 are the shit because there are six gorillion triangles displayed on screen and about 2 million post processing effects at all times, then complain when someone brings up they'd rather be looking at some old game released two decades ago.
<posts shitty lazy digital anime to draw comparisons from

the parts of this painting I want to look at are the armpit and thighs but they're very lazily drawn compared to the generic uninspired anime woman face that I don't want to look at, if this was done by AI (or a good artist that knows what parts of a girl are sexy) it wouldn't have that problem.

anime would be far more expensive to make if it weren't for the invention of computers so all that would exist is the most bland normalfag garbage like One Piece and Gundam and it would look like the ugly shit from the 70's and early 80's. Nobody ever posts pics/vids of 70's/early 80's anime on imageboards because it all looks like shit. Digital art, CGI and soon AI will make it possible for lots of anime to be made for every niche that wouldn't get anything otherwise, including my cute loli niche that doesn't get nearly enough so I have to rewatch the same episodes like this one hundreds of times while waiting years for more.

I was sorting through my old webm & mp4 folders and decided to look through them for any files encoded with av1. The earliest video file encoded with av1 that I found was this one from March 10th 2021, whoever encoded this back then must have been some sort of a pioneer, since firefox got browser playback support for av1 during that same month, chrome only a few months earlier.
The script to look for files with specified codec in current folder recursively, grabbed from https://codepad.co/snippet/find-files-with-specific-codec-using-ffprobe :
#!/bin/bash

if [[ "$1" == "" ]]; then
  echo "Usage: `basename $0` [codec_value]
    Common values:
    hevc = h.265 (High Efficiency Video Coding)
    h264 = h.264

    Any valid output from ffprobe can be used:
    ffprobe -v error -select_streams v:0 -show_entries stream=codec_name -of default=noprint_wrappers=1:nokey=1
  "
  exit 0
fi

while IFS= read -d $'\0' -r file ; do
    #printf 'File found: %s\n' "$file"
    CODEC=`ffprobe -v error -select_streams v:0 -show_entries stream=codec_name -of default=noprint_wrappers=1:nokey=1 "$file"`

    #printf 'Codec found: %s\n' "$CODEC"

    if [[ "$CODEC" = "$1" ]]
    then
      printf '%s: %s\n' "$1" "$file"
    fi

Well, then you're in luck. This won't add that many hours to your backlog, since it's a movie.
As >>218905 said, it's from a 2008 movie called "The Sky Crawlers", the soundtrack is composed by Kenji Kawai. (The guy who did the music for the 1995 Ghost In The Shell movie and the original Higurashi anime adaptation.) I haven't watched the movie myself in full yet. Here is a link: https://nyaa.si/view/785994
There also exists a game for the Wii that was released a few months after the movie in Japan called "The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces", apparently developed by Project Aces (Ace Combat devs). It got an international english release with dubbed voices in 2010, fortunately there seems to be an undub patch to get the original jap voice acting back: https://archive.org/details/the_sky_crawlers_ia_undub_patch From the videos I've seen on jewtube, it seems to run okay on the Dolphin emulator, save for some issues that need to be worked around. It's probably best to see the movie first if you intend to play the game.
