Watching the video, I gotta say that it isn't convincing me to pick it up and play whenever it get released or if it ever gets released. The customization looks like bad they were hyping up all the shit you could add and do to your body, but at the same time it doesn't look like you will be able to do a lot other than adjust some small details that you won't be looking at throughout the entire game. Also what is exactly the point of customization if you aren't going to add in a third-person mode or a way for you to view yourself without the need of cutscenes and mirrors?

Wait didn't CD project cuck announce that there as an option where you could have had the head of a male but on a female body.
>Also what is exactly the point of customization if you aren't going to add in a third-person mode or a way for you to view yourself without the need of cutscenes and mirrors?

Of all the things you could shit on this trash for, you chose the only one that makes no sense. Why shouldn't 1st person games have player customisation? Watching yourself in the inventory screen and in cutscenes is more than enough. Do you retards need to constantly look at your character in order to excuse the existence of player customisation in the game?

By your logic Kingdom Come Deliverance shouldn't have customisation because it's a 1st person game. You should keep your peasant rags all the way to the end of the game even though you're supposed to have elevated yourself to knighthood. What an incredibly moronic thing to say.

They've dropped the gender options from the character creator and allowed the player to mix and match the body-types with male and female characteristics. If you watched the video, remember how that nigger selected female voice on a male body type? That's going to be one of the few things you can add to create your perfect tranny character.
>>20977
You sound asshurt anon, but it is indeed a good question, considering if you only allow the player to see themselves in scripted cutscenes and inventory screen, then it will be likely forgotten or be the same as playing as a character the devs force you to play.
>>20977
Put on a tampon, you dumb nigger.
>Why shouldn't 1st person games have player customisation?
Because it's pointless to being able to customize yourself and then you can't even view yourself whenever you want without having to find a mirror.
>Watching yourself in the inventory screen and in cutscenes is more than enough
<Having to open up a menu over and over again just to see your character is more than enough
>By your logic Kingdom Come Deliverance shouldn't have customisation because it's a 1st person game
By my logic Kingdom come does not need a customization menu because what will be the point of creating an ugly as fuck character or some chad if I can't see myself for most of the time? Especially when I want to make post them on imageboards.

It's a fucking RPG, part of the player progression is clothing/armor progression. How the fuck else are you going to add armor progression without player customisation? With simple dumb defense stats on the starting armor? Fuck that, that doesn't feel like progression at all. People want to wear new stuff. They can see the new stuff they're wearing in cutscenes, the inventory screen AND in their 1st person arms/hands.

>>20982
>Because it's pointless to being able to customize yourself and then you can't even view yourself whenever you want without having to find a mirror.
Good thing you can view yourself in the inventory and see the different armor/clothe model on your 1st person arms/hands.

I was going to play this game when I saw the first trailer. Bieng a cop in a cyberpunk setting sounded rad, but then they changed it to a merc, that speaks nonstop, that is forced to team up with a beaner, then its forced to team up with a hologram. The story sounds boring as fuck, then I saw the gameplay videos and it looked bland and the only stuff that looked interesting are scripted, like throwing a ball to some guys when you park your flying car near them, which was also scripted. All the important and cool shit will be scripted, taking the control away from the player. Did I mention that the MC is always talking?

I'd wager all of those are fake, mostly due to the fact they talk about the PC version specifically, and that they mention a crack even though CDPR have already confirmed the game is DRM-free. Honestly if the PC version leaked it would be too big of an event to not notice. Apart from the online ps4 pkg file leak, only a few people actually have physical copies it seems and most are in the mood to sell. The guy who streamed to youtube is selling for like $100, pic 2 related is someone from Bahrain selling for approximately $80.

Also CD Projekt Red is considered a good company for rpgs in the minds of normalfags. Same kind of crowd that follows Bethesda, but now Todd and co. are in the shitter. A lot of younger people have been mentally programmed throughout their lives to get hyped for anything they see in an ad without actually questioning if it's worth it or not, they hear the overly dramatic music cues and hear one or two lines written specifically to stroke the feel good part of their brains and immediately are primed to buy. Then they play for a couple hours and probably don't even finish the game before the next stupid product is shoved in their faces.
Seriously, turn off your adblocker for a day and just marvel at the sheer number of ads that plague most normalfag sites and then realize they all follow a handful of basic formulas for inciting emotional reactions.

They include "story" mode to try to push the ancient, totally disproven idea that interactive movies can be commercially viable. That is, they remove all actual difficulty from the game as an attempt to sell the idea that you can just enjoy the story without there even being minimal challenge to the game parts. It gives them (self-referential) credit for claiming that the story is good ("it's so good, you can enjoy it without actually playing the game!" "people who don't like video games can still enjoy the story without bothering with the video game!") and for some reason higher-ups keep buying the idea that if they push hard enough, eventually people will enjoy interactive movies.

I was ready to mock your reply but it's mostly pretty sound advice that I already follow, actually. I agree on IGG* and Fitgirl is good. ("torrents", though, is pretty vague and can mean anything, since torrents are a means of distribution and not a source. I hope you're not talking about The Pirate Bay, KAT or RarBG anon).

We'll only have to agree to disagree that Skidrowreloaded can't be trusted. Their scene releases (-CODEX, -SKIDROW, -HOODLUM, -DARKSIDERS, -CPY, etc) and also ElAmigos repacks are completely safe and have always been md5 hash identical to what you'll find on any other site or Fitgirl bases >her repacks on. As for non-scene releases, it's caveat emptor of course, but that's true for any p2p upload in any site including our share threads.

* Though in my experience, aside from their DRM advertisement .dll bullshit (which afaik they don't do anymore except for the games they buy and crack themselves), IGG game files have always been completely clean and safe. Slack-jawed retards who shouldn't be pirating in the first place get viruses from IGG because they don't use adblockers and end up getting viruses from the shady link redirectors and shady file hosters that IGG uses. I have seen idiots on social media who were claiming to get viruses from IGG, ending up accidentally confessing after questioning that they got viruses because they had clicked on one of these big green or red "fast download" buttons that download an .exe installer full of malware instead of the game archive.

I don't even trust official software 90% of the time not to be malware in disguise sending telemetry to some server. If you want to trust some virus scanner to tell you the random unverified cracked executable you got for 100% free from some shady site don't have a single malicious line of code in them then by all means go ahead. I think putting the minimum effort required to get into a private tracker is the least anyone should do to decrease the likelihood of a malicious torrent. But more importantly I wouldn't download any games that require cracks in the first place and would opt for GOG torrents wherever possible. Even better is if you can get the MD5 hashes to verify the installers.

I'll never understands peoples blind trust in proprietary software, pirated or not.
>>21890
Ultimately I downloaded and played the game, the virus scanners came back with nothing found, I haven't experienced anything weird on my machine and I didn't do this yesterday. It's possible the scanners are wrong, sure. I'll admit that I don't know much about viruses, but if anti-viruses are useless, why do people tell you to scan your files anyway then? What kind of virus do you think I have on my machine?
>I think putting the minimum effort required to get into a private tracker is the least anyone should do to decrease the likelihood of a malicious torrent.
Why would you trust something on private torrent anyway? If it's some symptom-less, undetectable virus like you're implying it is, that can be spread on a private community as well.
>But more importantly I wouldn't download any games that require cracks in the first place and would opt for GOG torrents wherever possible. Even

Virus scanners are crap because they're either using a signature database that might not contain your virus, or they could also use some heuristics, producing a shitload of false positives and negatives, just like your usual COVID test. They also like to flag otherwise legit cracks, just because they do something your usual spreadsheet software doesn't.
Replies: >>21899
>>21891
>Why would you trust something on private torrent anyway? If it's some symptom-less, undetectable virus like you're implying it is, that can be spread on a private community as well.
Because private trackers generally only allow certified users to post content. But I didn't say I trust private tracker torrents, just that they decreased the chances of a malicious torrent.
>And it it's not possible?
Then you take your chances or buy the game.
>Depends what you mean by trust, I trust it to do its job without wrecking my machine, which it does, so what do you mean?
Wrecking your machine is kind of an arbitrary standard. I'm not saying you do have malware. There's no way to know whether or not cracked or pirated software is running malicious code. You can run virus scanners and those will do an okay job at checking for that, but not a perfect job. There's not even a bulletproof way to know if games I've bought and downloaded from (((steam))) aren't performing some form of spyware on my machine. Steam itself is basically spyware.

It's about minimizing risk. If you're someone that is content with the level of risk involved in downloading from a site like IGG which has had reported instances of them modifying the exectuables they upload then so be it. Personally I value my data and security more than I value saving a few bucks on a game, so unless there's a GOG torrent on my private tracker I usually just wait for a big sale and buy the games.
>>21896
>That's why I run them in a VM, without network connection, deleting the whole disk image after not needed.
In an ideal world all GPU's would have SR-IOV and people just just spin up VM's for various games and it would be a non-issue. I guess if you're doing VFIO then that system is effective, I hope to do the same eventually. But as I'm running games bare metal I'm much more cautious.

Not that anon, but the game is being developed and written by people who look like they're in support of this type of world. I would be ok with the concept and everything if they would show clear signs that this world is a dystopia and that the whole robotics, numerous gang wars hypersexualization or everything, low standards, and celebrity worships are a sign of a decaying and sinful society and generally the message of the game is that we should avoid this type of future. I believe the tabletop cyperpunk game pretty much overs of what I said as something that is going to ruin humanity.

I do find it troubling that, at some point, the attitude towards the cyberpunk genre as a whole went from "look at this gritty and realistic dystopia" to " wow I can't wait to live in this globalist-consumerist hellscape, I'll be able to consume so much content and transgenderism will be normal!"

I didn't think there was an attitude as a whole, because there hasn't been much of a cyberpunk genre as far as the mainstream is concerned. There were the newer Deus Ex games, but I don't remember a lot of people saying they'd love to be in that game's world. Nobody can seriously claim that Neuromancer or Shadowrun are mainstream.

That's simply untrue. Cyberpunk as a genre of fiction was hugely popular in the 80's/90's, and Neuromancer was absolutely a mainstream book during that time. Gibson was widely known as "the guy who invented the term 'cyberspace'." All you have to do is look back at popular media in the early- to mid-90's to see that cyberpunk had considerable cultural mindshare.
Video related - this is from a children's television show from that time period. You still think Neuromancer was never mainstream?

You only have yourselves to blame for the art direction changing. They're obviously influenced by the synth wave meme and started to push in that direction. Which is some what ironic considering that's how the 80's themselves started and then evolved.

>>22391
We live in an 80's cyberpunk dystopia. There's no point making a game about the real world. The gimmick of the genre was super easy to use powerful tech all in your pocket while everything around you decays. How do you make that sci fi when it's literally how we live now?

>>22403
This anon is right. Cyberpunk was mainstream. Robocop is cyberpunk at it's core and was clearly a mainstream movie.

Do you have no imagination? It could be for sonic weaponry. You could turn your face into a bear trap or instantly have your augs reshape your face to look like someone else. Of course they want to live under cyberpunk anarcho-tyranny: it's the ideal future if you want to be a violent, self-mutilating degenerate and LARP as a radical while consuming product and AIDS meds. They have violent urges their past fantasies of sterile sci-fi space utopias wouldn't satisfy, rotting in some decaying eurofag city for weimar 2.0 isn't gritty enough, and in a real post-apocalyptic setting they'd be the first to die without a working government and infrastructure to parasitize. Cyberpunk is their life support.

Well, "cyber" and some kind of vaguely related computers aesthetic were popular in the 90s strictly because of the internet. I and that other anon (the Robocop guy, which was only cyberpunk insofar as portraying a corporation-dominated oligarchy, which is an important part of the genre but isn't sufficient to be the genre itself) manage to forget about Max Headroom, Lawnmower Man and Hackers, for instance. I still don't believe that cyberpunk had much of a significant mainstream presence as the traditional gritty-dystopia big-computers-and-robot-arms corporations-and-Japs cyberpunk that anons probably picture. Not to the point where you could grab a guy off the street and get him to talk organically about the genre without prompting him. Not to the point where people would have considered opinions about it--but, in fairness, people don't have considered opinions about much of anything. You couldn't convince me that D&D was mainstream by pointing out that Tolkien and Brooks wrote popular books about elves and dwarves, for instance, and Shadowrun wasn't nearly as popular as D&D. I admit that I underestimated its popularity, but I still don't think its mainstream presence was great enough for people to be able to intelligently form an opinion as to whether that would be a better or worse world to live in without leading them into it.

Some tips: Upgrading your warez is the most important thing as that allows you to hack shit like cameras and turrets. Savescum weapon purchases because you take huge hits to the wallet swapping them out if you don't like the one you bought. There is a finite amount of money you can earn so saving up to buy the best upgrades is more efficient. You only have to buy the c4 once and can use it twice in every mission you equip it
