Meta Plans to Take Nearly 50% of Creator’s Earnings in ‘Horizon Worlds’
>Speaking to Road to VR about the new selling tools being made available to select creators in Horizon Worlds, Meta explained that anything sold in Horizon Worlds would be subject to the same 30% fee the company charges developers selling apps through its VR platform and then an additional 25% fee on top of the remaining amount. The company provided the following example:
>“…if a creator sells an item for $1.00, then the Meta Quest Store fee would be $0.30 and the Horizon Platform fee would be $0.17, leaving $0.53 for the Creator before any applicable taxes.”

Epic announces $2 billion in funding for its metaverse efforts
>Epic’s plans to build a metaverse just got a huge cash injection: today the Fortnite developer announced a $2 billion round of funding, which it says will be used “to advance the company’s vision to build the metaverse and support its continued growth.”
>The funds come from Sony, which has previously invested in Epic, and KIRKBI, an investment group operated by the Kirk Kristiansen family, which founded the Lego Group. Just last week, Epic and Lego announced a partnership to build a family-friendly take on the metaverse, though with little in the way of concrete detail. According to a press release, both Sony and KIRKBI invested $1 billion as part of the most recent funding round.

Sega will delist other versions of classic Sonic the Hedgehog games on May 20
>Sega is making a "remastered" version of the sonic classics with 5 games for 40 bucks
>said remaster has a deluxe version which includes extra features like "character animation in the main menu"
>to ensure you won't buy the originals that are being sold for 5 bucks each those games will get delisted

These are remastered versions similar to the android ones. Meaning proper widescreen, spin dash added to 1, save slots on 1 and 2, and some other extra modes.
They are fucking kikes for charging 40 bucks when the android remasters cost 3$ each but the pirate is well worth it.

Nvidia didn’t tell investors enough about effects of crypto mining on its business, SEC says
>Nvidia will pay $5.5 million as part of a settlement with the SEC that it did not properly inform investors about how cryptocurrency miners were stoking demand for its graphics cards.
>In 2021, Nvidia released new cards intended for mining called Cryptocurrency Mining Processor, and added software to its graphics cards to prevent them from being used for mining. Nvidia’s graphics cards were in extremely short supply in 2020 and 2021 as gaming demand driven by the pandemic prompted users to upgrade their home gaming PCs.

Therefore they misrepresented the market outlook for their shit; a (blind, deaf, retarded) investor would assume that growth was real and lose money when the bubble burst that they wouldn't have if Nvidia had presented a more complete picture. Also the SEC likes to shake down companies for "no wrongdoing" judgements so they can pretend they're doing their jobs and aren't the second biggest example of regulatory capture in the world.

U.S. Senator Targets Disney With Bill Limiting Copyright Protection Term
>In the United States, copyrights are currently enforceable for 70 years after the author’s death. If something was made for hire, protection is available for 95 years after publication or 120 years after creation, whichever is shorter.
>These terms were last changed in the Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998, which is also dubbed the “Mickey Mouse Protection Act”. This is a reference to Disney’s famous cartoon character, whose original copyright protections were about to expire.
>The newly introduced “Copyright Clause Restoration Act” proposes to lower the copyright term for new copyrights to 56 years. This change would also apply retroactively to companies with a market cap of over $150 billion and are part of the movie or entertainment industries.
>“Senator Hawley’s bill would limit new copyright protections to 56 years and make the change retroactive for massive corporations like Disney that have been granted unnecessarily long copyright monopolies,”
>The Copyright Clause Restoration Act is, without doubt, a far-reaching proposal that, if passed, could have wide-ranging implications. However, the Republicans don’t have a majority in the Senate so that seems unlikely.

>They aren't paying those bills
I wonder how bad is going to get, looks like nvidia is pumping the rumor mill that their cards are going to use 900W or some stupid shit like that to scare the normalfags, odds are they want them to be ok with shit going up to 500-600-700 watts.
There is also the new connector for the GPUs that they are going to use, because of the new power requirements, but luckly there are adaptors for that shit.
Anyway, I will just compare the 6800 to the new shit releasing at the end of the year, if it doesn't hold up, like using to much power just for a few fps, PCIe4 not being enough for them or not playing well with my motherboard/PSU, I will just get the sapphire version and not upgrade for another 20 years or when the PCIe5/DDR5 come to and end of life, just like the 4 version did.

What are you, a Senator? There's no reason to hope for more government intervention; The only hope for the copyright situation is for "copyright" to be dissolved (and that isn't going to happen). Yeah but the consumer wants raw power. Efficiency is barely happening on phones/laptops, and even those are pushing for more and more power.
Last I heard was either those rumors were bullshit or were referring to the batshit insane Frankenstein computer god hardware that consumers will never see. Titan level hardware might hit 500 watts but they're ultimately limited by the installed base's typical PSU capacity on one end and American circuit breakers usually topping out at 10 amps on the other.

This is completely false. Kill yourself.
Aside from the cases involving health problems, I have noticed that a lot of mangakas straight up don 't like their successful mangas when they are a bout manliness and overcoming hardships.
It is like they actively despise those notions.
You have mangakas that abandon their work to make garbage involving sports, or to pursue faggot careers like fashion, or change to other works involving mundane, boring and usually faggotry things.
I wonder how many of it happens due to authors falling for propaganda, thinking that a boring life of career parasites would be better than producing immortal art that evokes manliness.

One case where I manga I liked finished is Golden Kamuy.
Some fag from like 2016-2017 posted this on /v/ and I was instantly interested, I like unconventional shit like that, thats how you know a manga is gonna break the mold and be far from cliche as it can be and it sure as shit did.
Kept up to date for the past few years and the manga finally ended two weeks ago.
I HIGHLY recommend it, its an absolutely outstanding read, it's so good it transcends weebshit.
I consider it one of the greats alongside others like Berserk, Vagabond, Gantz and Steel Ball Run.
Delicious In Dungeon is also very nice, I feel like it's about to end soon though (in like a year or two).

Just look at the 2019 International Game Developers Association (IGDA) “Developer Satisfaction Survey,” which asked developers what they considered to be the most important factor in the growth of the gaming industry. The most common response? “More diversity in content.” It’s not even a question anymore.

>Alayna Cole, DE&I manager at Sledgehammer Games, says the tool was tested by developer teams working on Call of Duty: Vanguard, and it left a sizable impression. “We used [the Diversity Space Tool] to figure out what ‘more diversity’ looks like across all of our characters in both campaign multiplayer and Live seasons,” says Cole. “And now we’re going to use that data going forward into the next games that we’re working on.”
>“the ultimate goal”: Making the tool available to the industry as a whole.

Why is it that the writers of every single tv show need to include a sex scene for no reason? Isn't the whole point that Spartans are created to have no sex drive? Have these fucking niggers ever played a Halo game?
>Have these fucking niggers ever played a Halo game?
I seem to recall the creators saying that no, they didn't play the games, or watched someone play it, or even talk about it. The only discussion that was had was about the characters and world.
Kyoto Animation has the be peak Jewish organization made only to subvert Japanese. In A Silent Voice, there is, for no reason, a blacked couple. The husband for literally no reason a big nigger. It has no impact to the story whatsoever, just that in the beginning and the end, the nigger husband would show up to piss off racists. Main character is shown having to take care of the nigger baby throughout the show while the husband and wife went missing most of the time. The wife is MC's sister, the husband is an American Nigger. The family of MC has no father figure, just an ugly whore mother who owns a barber.
The show as a whole is a show aimed towards woman, since it has nothing but petty bitching.

it simply never got famous among american fans due to licensing issues (the name Conan being associated with not only the infamous copyright Conan Doyle but also Conan the Barbarian and Conan O' Brien) and also being unmarketable as a "show for kids" due to the fact it's about murder plots, leading it to only ever air in the US during midnight Adult Swim.
It's actually has the most successful series of theatrical anime movies ever and the japs refuse to stop watching to the point where it managed to be the only thing that defeated Marvel Endgame ticket sales during its opening week in any market.

You guys are taking anime and manga the wrong way. The medium is clearly not geared towards having consistently compelling stories or actual drama, and shonenshit is the biggest offender of them all. I can excuse you liking shonen shit if it is an anime with some really great animation and you only watch the action scenes or if you only watch for the cute girls, but I doubt that's the case. This motherfucker's >>137634 anime list just screams tryhard who gets his anime recommendations from reddit. Visual novels are a different story due to some variables so I'd be fine if you like the Fate/Stay Night VISUAL NOVEL or the Steins;Gate VISUAL NOVEL but for anime and manga, all that I can truly excuse is watching a show for cute girls doing cute things or engaging in heterosexual romance (Yuri is gay). Now with that said, not EVERY anime with the "cute girls doing cute things" approach is good, not by a damn sight. But there are some that do it very well. For your convenience, I'll list out what nips generally do WELL and what nips generally do NOT do well

>What do nips do well?
<Cute girls
<Action scenes
<Slice of life
<Young (< 13) romance

>What do nips do poorly?
<Real-life topics
<Anything in-between action scenes
<Old(er) romance

Now again these are generalizations but I must remind you that the once-in-a-blue-moon exception does not disqualify these accurate generalizations of mine. These truths are so evident that I sometimes have trouble considering anyone who likes Jojo or Kaiji or Conan as not real fans of the medium. I especially hate fans of the long-running series out there which seem to have three filler episodes/chapters for every one chapter where something gets done. Signs of both bad writers and bad mangaka, probably hoping to milk their series as much as they can before they retire. Now's the part where I place my own recommendations. I'll specify if it's the anime or manga I recommend since quality DOES differ depending on which one you go with, in some cases. Presented in no particular order:

>Sakura Card Captor (Both anime and manga)
Mostly for the cute girl(s) and the young romance, plus the original series has some nice looking animation. There is comedy but in this case I'd say it doesn't do that very well.

>Ojamajou Doremi (Anime)
Here's a case of many cute girls to pick from and some episodes really did well on the drama, tackling some real life issues which I wasn't expecting to see. It flip-flops in quality and expectations from season to season but I'm willing to add this to my recommended list since there were more good episodes than bad ones if you ask me.

>Cowboy Bebop (Anime)
What can I say about this that hasn't been said before by others? Great animation, good drama (a rarity) and the action scenes, when they have them, are enticing enough though not what I'd call its main draw. The comedy is also one of those cases where it swings and hits more than it misses. I think I may have even laughed out loud for some of the jokes.

>Nichijou (Manga and Anime)
You'll probably get more out of this if you know of Japanese customs and language, but foreigners can enjoy it as well. Cute girls and great comedy, a true rarity. Has its fair share of heartwarming moments, too.

>Urusei Yatsura (Anime, though I've heard good things of the manga but I haven't read it)
Mainly for comedy but some people really love Lum, so add cute girls to the list. I can't truly sympathize with Ataru and sometimes he pisses me off with how he acts but I think that was done on purpose by the writers.

>Azumanga Daioh (Manga and Anime)
A pioneer of its age, this manga is really great with the comedy on a consistent basis. You get a cast of cute girls to go with it. Can't go wrong.

>Hime Chan no Ribbon (Manga and Anime)
Basically the prototype version of Cardcaptor Sakura with how many similarities it bears to that other series. Very cute, lots of young romance, and the old animation has a good style to it even if it isn't exactly what I'd call top-tier for its time. It has some drama intermixed but it isn't terribly captivating, and shouldn't be the reason you watch it.

>Thermae Romae (Manga)
Recently had an anime and even a live action adaptation but they both suck in comparison with the manga. Made by a nip woman who is a total westaboo and acknowledges the superiority of Aryan genetics/culture. Has some comedic moments, a unique "roman slice of life" story, and while it does lack women until the end portions, you'll never tire of looking at Hadrian. Has older romance but who gives a shit about the mangaka's self-insert scoring with the aryan roman anyways?

>Ogeha (Manga)
A short-lived but very interesting manga with an unusual young romance story going on. The drama and mystery behind it are not bad at all, though I feel the main draw may be the pseudo-SoL feel the manga has in between drama segments.

>Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-San (Manga for more smug faces, anime for the cute voice)
Even though this one is pretty recent, it has a great young love story and doesn't fall for the trap many (hack) mangakas fall for and actually has an ending to the main relationship. Spoiler alert: They get happily married and have a child so you can consider this to have a great moral as well. The comedy sucks, as is common for anime and manga, but the romance and cuteness should not be missed. Also has the cutest bushy eyebrows girl in any medium.

I can go on but I'll leave it here.

tl;dr Nips seldom write anything compelling, but they are great at cute stuff and young romance, so throw shit like HunterxHunter and Code Gayass or Samurai Champloo out the window and get yourself a cute girl anime to watch this weekend.
>>What do nips do poorly?
I think anyone who actually knows their stuff would disagree, and I would ask what you consider to be a "good" modern non-japanese mystery game/movie/series in comparison to some of the most popular japanese mystery series.
Replies: >>137649

>Video Games
<The Wolf Among Us
<Deus Ex (Both the original and Human Revolution are good, moreso the former)
<Max Payne
<Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis
<Puzzle Agent (1 mostly, but you can count 2 as well)
Don't know if this counts but..
<Sam and Max
Those are pretty much the only vidya that I've played that come to mind. Maybe some anons can chime in more

>TV & Film
<Hot Fuzz
<Old Boy
That's all I can think of for this medium, I'm not much of a watcher of TV and film to be honest. 3D, that is.

>Books & Comics
Hell, you got me there. I can't think of any western books or comics post-2000 that are noteworthy. Maybe a /co/ or /lit/ friend can enlighten me on this. I mostly stick to the old stuff in this regard.

In terms of Japanese media that has done mystery right, I think it's really only down to these:
<Metal Gear Solid
People were crazy about Death Note and Conan but I really don't like either of them, and the mysteries in the former are pretty lame if you can even call them mysteries. Read pic related for some insight on that.

They don't need to 'try' to be cute, gaylord. They already are.
[Hide] (2.5MB, 1024x768, 00:11)
Maybe I'm just too old for this shit.
Girls crying and mumbling like retards just comes off as annoying now. There's some expections like Milk-Chan and some scenes in Nichijou that are autistic in a good way, but generally these types of anime make me want to stab my dick.
Replies: >>137657
I haven't read or seen everything you've mentioned, but the general impression I get is that you are more into noir/hard-boiled detective fiction rather than true mysteries (the howdunnit/howcatchem/whodunnit puzzlers) Noir/hard-boiled tends to be lighter on the clues and evidence and as a result has a lot less intellectual heavy-lifting.
For books & comics, if you like Wolf Among Us you'd probably like Fables.
Death Note isn't even a mystery; it's a thriller where characters are detectives. People love dramatic irony so these sorts of stories tend to see extreme success. Araki reveals his villains early on for the same reason. It's easy.
Among the media you've listed, that I have played/watched the only one I'd really call a true mystery in the traditional sense is Danganronpa, which is the fairest among of all I've found, which is a double-edged sword, since it means the mysteries (mainly in the first game) tend not to do a good job of tricking the player.
Conan is good and I'm not sure why you wouldn't like it besides possibly getting filtered in the first 10% of it (this is a known phenomenon).

There are plenty of cute girl anime where the girl never does that. At best you may see one character who is a crybaby do that, usually you'd never see some characters doing that.

Several of the things I mentioned are "whodunnit" mysteries like you mentioned, but you said it yourself that you havent read or seen everything I mentioned. I'd like you to name some Japanese true mystery examples other than Conan now. Good examples only, please.

Those idiots just had to rush their fake outrage before thinking ending up making a fool out of themselves, but the developers who censored it are no better since they removed a completely harmless line instead of simply showing these idiots the clip it came from so everyone could point at them and laugh for being so stupid

That's the funny thing about people. A work can be the exact same as you left it, but the person can look at it completely differently from the way they did.
They think its a sign of maturity to hate everything, as if they have discerning from putting themselves above a work by shitting on it, but really they've just bought into their own opinionated hype.

>I don't get what you mean by tryhard
then you're fine, you just like watching "the good stuff that everyone says is good", and there's nothing wrong with that.
Trying too hard means that you don't want to give anyone an inch to shit on you, so you make your anime list thing that are hard to criticize without being shat on.
If its genuinely the best of what you've seen and you aren't doing it to "hide" your guilty pleasures or things that people pressured you to stop talking about, then its fine.
People usually don't shit on Berserk, Gantz, Chainsawman, or Mob Psycho 100 (even if I personally thought it was boring and weird), lately people on imageboards have been shitting on Jojo ever since it got popular in the mainstream even though it used to be the anon's anime/manga of choice for memes and was a beloved work, and there's been a swing-around to hating HxH despite anons loving Togashi in the past.
Granted, I personally believe a fair amount of those works are overrated, that's why I personally rated yours a 7.

Software Freedom Conservancy wins big step forward for open-source rights
>SFC v. Vizio lawsuit ruling shows the GPL acts both as a copyright license and as a contractual agreement.
>The SFC won their argument that the Vizio SmartCast TV operating system contained software that Vizio unfairly appropriated from a community of developers. Specifically, SFC argued that Vizio used Linux's source code and other open-source software, such as BusyBox, U-Boot, bash, gawk, tar, Glibc, and FFmpeg in its SmartCast OS TV firmware. Since these programs are protected under the GPL version 2 (GPLv2) and the Lesser GPL (LGPL), consumers, and not just developers, have the right to modify, improve, share, and reinstall modified versions of the software.
>In this lawsuit, the SFC isn't seeking monetary damages. Instead, all the SFC wants is for Vizio to provide the source code to all customers who purchase its TVs. Specifically, the plaintiff is asking for the technical information via "specific performance" rather than "damages."
Are they going to need to show all the code of the TV? Or just the shit they stole?

Why are we still here?

It wasn't too awful if you don't mind endless trial and error and persisting problems with system power states and xhci handover not working properly.
My main "problem" now is only the first bios version that came with the mobo works, i cant get my OS to boot nomatter what i tried on anything newer than the earliest version. and the problem with the first version is many of the overclock settings like ram "try it" shit dont work forcing me to manually experiment which is a whole other clusterfuck but unrelated to win7. My motherboard came with built in wifi and i cant get that to work, but its not a big deal since i could always just get a pcie wifi card thats win7 compatible and the wifi version of that mobo was only like $10 more.

Once you figure out the exact bios settings you need for it to not immediately crash, all you need to do is start installing random usb3 drivers and any driver for your motherboard that it lets you, then use macrium to back it up, then slipstream the install onto the new PC and keep trying until the mouse and keyboard works. Then all you need to do is get the lan working by editing the driver files.

The best way to solve misconduct (of any kind) at work is to make all walls crystalized in the office and install security cameras everywhere (except the restroom), blacklist porn websites, and add harsher consequences for false accusations under the pretense of "endangering productivity".

I do, but if i am expected to be fiddling with the analog stick, i gotta use my pointers on my left hand to hit the arrow buttons. It's very stressful.

the trick to getting those is to panic and shut your eyes so you don't see the insulting prompt telling you that you're stupid.
questions bread is anchored and dead so i figured i should ask here, finally got a non-potato computer and can run a swatch emulator, any recommended games?
Nothing, everything even close to worth playing is "it's fun with friends" tier or better on another platform. You've been bamboozled. Download Citra and play Yo-Kai Watch instead.

Well first and foremost is whether you go with Yuzu or Ryujinx, check the compatibility list. Though for the most part it seems first party games run pretty good on both emulators. That being said I would recommend Astral Chain if you like Bayonetta and Rune Factory 4 Special for a Harvest Moon with combat game. There is a shitload of Wii U ports if you never had a Wii U nor used CEMU I have no idea if CEMU runs certain games better then Yuzu or Ryujinx, but I just thought of it

by the looks of it, this bad boy can run both emulators so i'm covered
both of those recommendations sound pretty good, i had the original rune factory 4 and kinda liked it, the fox girl was pretty cute
no i will not play your fart joke-loaded game mr. shill man
just kidding, game's breddy gud

The new Kirby game was pretty good. mario odyssey and the cat one sucked but run well. monster hunter generations ultimate is good and theres a build with working online using ryujinx.

fit"girl" has a bunch of preconfigured switch games with emulators that run pretty well and often come with qol fixes like removing fog, motion blur, or removing framerate caps. i suggest you look at "her" list.
Most of them are fine and all you really ought to do is download the newest version of whatever emulator it uses and dump it in the folder and overwrite keeping all the files. its the easiest way.

astral chain might be ok but looked kinda gay. i heard it runs well emulated.

Below the man-jaw and buttchin. That bitch is ugly.
Ass Chains pretty alright. It feels like a platinum game but with a fair bit more comfy side detective shit. It feels like they had a tight budget and it isn't as balls to the wall as some other platinum games, and it is ripping off several anime REALLY BLUNTLY, but despite that the enemy variety is good, the combat is interesting and fun, and the bosses are great. Biggest complaint is you gotta beat the game BEFORE getting the police dog mascot costume.
Pokemon Swoshit isn't worth playing, but Legends Arceus is kinda fun and runs well
it's the only pokemon game worth emulating on there since literally all the others are ports (besides maybe the new Snap game)
besides those probably nothing, maybe the mario game if you want to

I mean, normalfags that are a bit more intelligent than your average normalfag, but still a normalfag, and they walk into every privacy honeypot. Then they brag about how they're much better by using duckduckgo or the spyware brave browser and how it protects their privacy. Yeah. Also add how protonmail is secure and encrypted (read the fucking email rfc, it doesn't work that way), and why should you get a nord vpn. I wonder when will they realize that they were all lied to.
