NEO: The World Ends With You Localizers Insist They Were Faithful to Source Material
>While it’s true that none of us worked on the original Nintendo DS release, the main translators on the project had all previously played (and enjoyed!) the first game, so I like to think NEO: The World Ends with You was in safe hands as we were always going to be respectful of the established style.
>However, you do need to be careful not to go overboard and end up with a “rice balls turning into doughnuts” situation, since it’s clear now that the authentic setting is one key reason people seek out these kinds of titles. In retrospect, I think we did a fairly good job of striking that balance.
>NEO: The World Ends with You in particular is a very “young” title with a lot of emphasis on rapidly changing cultural tendencies and trends, and we tried to stay true to that when translating. Trying to capture the linguistic moment is tricky when new slang appears and disappears so quickly, so you have to be careful about making it sound current, but not so much so that the vocabulary would be outdated by the time the game actually comes out.

They're abusing FOTM buzzwords, meaning they need to be somewhat careful with it or normalfags will laugh at them for using outdated memes. Replies: >>103602
It was the lead-free solder, not the thermal paste. Poor thermal design combined with shitty inferior RoHS solder (even inferior to current year lead-free solder since the EU regs were new at the time) lead to dry joints on the CPU and the infamous red ring. Meanwhile YLODs were partially thermal and partially due to some advanced power devices from NEC which turned out to be flakier than advertised.

gameplay trailers look pretty slick, but slow. I guess it's supposed to be like that, but I was never a fan of SWAT games, but mechanics-wise this looks identical to me. I don't like how glossy everything is. I remember the devs or marketers came over to 8chan back in the day to promote it, one anon made a slightly better trailer (webm related) and then they went silent for quite some time.
Then I remember somebody got pissed at them for something, but I couldn't for the life of me tell you what it was about. Looks competent enough.
It's a bascially a much more modern and buggy version of Swat 4 with customization, new weapons and different mission types (standard Swat 4, Bomb threat, raid, and active shooter). Beware that the game is only in early access, so the devs are still adding shit.

That may be better than 99% of the garbage translations that vidya companies shit out, but it's certainly not a great option or a substitute for actually learning the language.
> Trying to capture the linguistic moment
They suggest that the game was supposed to sound extremely timely; they're saying that the original Japanese was something that Japs in, for instance, 2025 will look at and say "Oh-desune, that was released in mid 2021 because of (easily recognized Jap meme from mid 2021)," and that they felt that it was important to capture that timeliness relative to the time the game was being released in English with timely English memeshit. They're basically saying they're trying to reproduce what they think the feeling that an average English-language gamer should have playing the game rather than just doing the translation: regardless of where the characters live, they're saying, because they speak English and are supposed to be trendy, then they need to be what English-speakers would recognize as trendiness. What they've forgotten about is that they're full of shit.

>Japanese is a dying language
Why do people say this? Japan probably pumps out the most media of any other country besides the US, with no signs of slowing down. Even if every Jap on the planet died instantly it would still be a language worth learning because of the sheer volume of media in that language.

A useless language like Spanish that is only used to talk to spics is more likely to die.

All the examples in that post use standard Japanese with no kind of slang or memes whatsoever.
>why do people say this
It's fascinating isn't it? Japan is the third largest economy in the world, and a cultural titan. No one says that the less globally relevant Korean is a dying language, or Mongolian, or the large number of shithole tribal languages from Africa that actually are more likely to die since they are so inferior to English or French.
I even hear idiots spouting this retardation IRL, when they wouldn't dare say such a thing about any other language due to political correctness.

It, like many other languages, is being subsumed by English. Unlike many other languages, though, it's complicated and is also suffering from simplification (again, likely due to constant English pressure). If you're not growing then you're dying and it isn't growing. Archival purposes (media) don't save a language from death, it didn't save Latin and it won't save Japanese. It won't be gone tomorrow but it is on its way out. If your idea of "Japanese" is very flexible, as it seems to be, then it certainly will still be "alive" for a long while. As a regional dialect of English it'll probably be around forever.
Of course this is all based on extrapolations and historical evidence. The future is never certain.
>A useless language like Spanish that is only used to talk to spics is more likely to die.
>No one says that the less globally relevant Korean is a dying language
That's because the topic isn't "dead languages" the topic is usually "Japanese (and why you should learn it)". It is the aforementioned media that drives the discussion. No but obnoxious subhumans care about Spanish, Korean, African, Mongolian, so they're not going to randomly bring them up in a conversation that doesn't even involve them. Maybe if the discussion was about culture and language you'd see people bring those up.

I'd also argue that Japanese is being cannibalised by English less than most other languages, and English is being changed (and damaged) itself by it's use as the planet's lingua franca at least as much as it is doing to other languages.
Replies: >>104977 >>104984

>Why do people say this?
It's not hard to understand. Many people may claim the issue is herbivore men who love their 2D waifus instead of 3DPD (which is a problem but not the main one, mind you). The true big issues are that Japanese men and women are too busy to have kids. The japanese economy isn't as stable as you think, and work hours are long and hard. Most white collar companies also have "optional" (read: mandatory if you don't want to be fired) bar outings after work in Japan until the late hours of the day, so the time a man has for their wife, let alone their child, is so low that you can understand if they don't want to bring children into this world. What are their other options, putting them in possibly-expensive daycare 6 days a week? Having the mother stay at home to do work and care for the child? Not in their economy. Abe tried to alleviate this but according to the figures, the changes did not help very much. I haven't seen proof of it yet but I assume the cuckrona scare is also attributing to a lack in births over the past two years. The other problem is that Japanese kids (and this applies to most Oriental countries, actually) are so pressured in school to study and do well and make it to the meme schools that every milf in Japan brags about, that when some eventually fail to make the cut, they either kill themselves or become depressed and just give up. This suicide issue is a lot bigger in S. Korea IIRC but it is most certainly still a thing in Nippon. Kids who survived that era may grow up to become either workaholics or would end up not wishing their childhood, or lack thereof, on anyone. It's not like they get a choice, in Japanese society either you give up your humanity and childhood and study or you fail and have to get a blue collar slave job. There's a reason 80% of anime take place in school as the main setting or a primary setting. They are in school more often than they are at home.

tl;dr Japanese is a dying language because the Japanese are withering away by their own volition.
Some nip town gave tax breaks to married couples and, unsurprisingly, people actually got married and had kids. But it seems tax breaks is as taboo as changing the retarded work culture or the retarded study autism, and it never left that town.

No, it's not the problem, it's just a consequence. The same goes for feminism, its only use is that women's real nature is now more clearly visible, but it was the same always, just look at the history every time a woman managed to seized power, a massive shitstorm followed. When they were confined at home, looking after the kids and cooking and shit, (plus with the religious loyalty, having a huge social stigma on people who cheated their husband) at least they were kept at bay.

A lot of the massive filesizes in modern bloatware games comes from uncompressed textures, voiced dialogue and cutscenes.
If Elden Ring compresses their textures, it should be relatively small overall since Souls games don't exactly have a ton of the other bloat causers.

I remember back when a game only got updates if something was broken. Maybe you'd get an expansion pack. Now people expect them. Then again, devs didn't openly ask people to pay for unfinished or just broken games back then--they'd at least pretend that they were shipping what they intended to ship. Then again again, all the interaction you had with game devs was fingering their .plan file.

Square Enix CEO claims games shouldn't be "played for fun" in New Year's letter

>...some people who “play to have fun” and who currently form the majority of players have voiced their reservations toward these new trends, and understandably so. However, I believe that there will be a certain number of people whose motivation is to “play to contribute,” by which I mean to help make the game more exciting.
>Traditional gaming has offered no explicit incentive to this latter group of people, who were motivated strictly by such inconsistent personal feelings as goodwill and volunteer spirit. This fact is not unrelated to the limitations of existing UGC (user-generated content). UGC has been brought into being solely because of individuals’ desire for self-expression and not because any explicit incentive existed to reward them for their creative efforts.

There won't be any "competition", just infinite flip sweatshops. From what I've seen the entire country is going to end up grinding dailies for a living, and if you want to look up information on one of those MMOs you're going to struggle to find something that isn't a video labeled "(Tagalog)".
Replies: >>108140
I think that anon meant "bidding wars with real money for limited-supply NFT items." You can't grind for an item that you can only buy with real money. Unless they're using the NFT concept just for limiting the supply of whatever in hopes that just the concept of being able to be the first to grind for a Digitally Certified Unique Original Horse Dick Hat will attract players. I think that latter idea is a fool's errand, though, because the average player knows damn well that truly unique items and titles (competitive ladder spots, "I was the first to beat raid boss X solo" bragging rights farts in a jar, etc.) in video games are always claimed by people who have way more gaming time than they do. I guess there's the possibility that an average player could play hard enough to eventually trade the guy with the Hat for it, and maybe that's what they would be counting on being able to do in my hypothetical situation.
Replies: >>108145 >>108146
>enough to eventually trade
Isn't trading verboten in modern vidya?
It'll probably be cheap enough for the modern joe to throw money at it and not a single cent less. They want the whales, but they also want the retards. Auctions will probably be a thing and if suits are smart there'll be a maximum bid increase per period (but the auctions keep going as long as retards are paying) to trick normalfags into putting money into their accounts.
Replies: >>108146
It will turn gaming into a reflection of reality instead of an escape from it. The players with more money will own everything and everyone else will work for the scraps. Basically just a hobby for rich people who can't spend all their money in real life.

No the whole point of NFTs is to trade (scalp) them.
Replies: >>108148 >>108152
The whole point of the original NFT is to trade them as the guy who runs the servers gets mad dosh from trades.
When it comes to vidya though, suits are completely against trading as it allows users to bypass the grind and enables chink bots. The whole extent of NFT when it comes to vidya will be that your faggot rainbow sight skin is THE faggot rainbow sight skin #156 and you can prove it via the server. Trading will be extremely limited if even allowed.
Replies: >>108150 >>108158
If they cared about people "bypassing the grind" then they wouldn't sell pay to win microtransactions in games. They just want their cut, they don't care if you play the game or not.

>The players with more money will own everything and everyone else will work for the scraps. Basically just a hobby for rich people who can't spend all their money in real life.
This is literally what it is right now from Microtransaction riddled skinnerboxes to Esports.
First, if it's not on a decentralized blockchain it's not an NFT. A cash shop item that's on their servers is just a cash shop item that's on their servers. I guess they could dupe normalfags into thinking that something like that is an "NFT", but normalfags can be duped into thinking anything is anything.
Second, NFT vidya already exists. I wish the flip hordes in the comments section of jewtube videos clamoring for sweatshop work grinding dailies only existed in my imagination, but I've seen them with my own eyes. One Roblox knockoff made news last month when a game on it sold a yacht NFT for $650,000.

>First, if it's not on a decentralized blockchain it's not an NFT
Tell that to marketing.
The problem is to do that, you need to do cryptocoins, because payment processors are the biggest hypocrites in the world, and at that point you already got rid 99.9% of people willing to pay. And at that point you could just upload your game to some random file hosting and write in the readme "if you download this game and don't send xx money to yy bitcoin wallet, you're a fucking kike," that will deter about the same number of pirates as a noname online game store.
Like that anon from /agdg/ who received a whopping amount of 2 bitcoin donations (each around $10) in the timeframe of 3 years, or something like that.
Even before NFTs some game items went for crazy prices, try getting some rare CSGO, TF2 or at the time Diablo 3 gear, not to mention EVE.
This bullshit is even worse if you think about it because video game items could be handled through a blockchain to enable persistent trading without a central server but instead we got overpriced tradingcards.

Humble Choice becoming GAS next month
>We’ve been listening to the Humble community about how we can make Humble Choice even better, and the message is clear: make it simpler, level up the value, and focus on choosing only the best games around.
>Choice members will be able to access the titles in the Humble Games Collection by downloading the new Humble app for Windows PC. (Note that you’ll lose access to these games if you skip a month or cancel your membership.)
Humble bundle is changing their monthly game bundle to a full on subscription service that requires their not-steam to play the games. You need to keep paying or else you lose access to all your games.
I hope this is a contained thing and they're not going to nuke site downloads. Regardless, do download all your shit if you have games in account.

They acquired it in 2017. If anything it's surprising that it lasted this long without bad choices.
No. Before you actually owned the games, and it was as DRM-free as they could make it as in some games only had a steam code. Pic related is current month's Humble Choice.
From next month on you just subscribe to their service and can only play as long as you're subscribed. You are forced to install their not-steam which serves as a DRM for the service and can only play the games through it, which will undoubtedly prevent offline play to some extent. It's also windows-only, so linuxfags and macfags won't be able to use it.
It's shit for all involved but the faggots that came up with it.

It's been a while that HB has been shit, even before the IGN thing you could see a decline but now it's been easily over a year without any good bundle and even choice which is supposed to be the premium offer is poor at best and is getting worse.
The worst part is Fanatical is literally just shitting all over them in terms of price to quality

I tried the launch version when it came out, and stopped playing a few hours later because of how stale and lacking in content it was. NMS added lots of features and content, but compared to launch build, it also became a lot buggier and less optimized.

You want to know why? Because crapcom, in their grand wisdom, decided to use motion capture when having the (english) voice actors perform. So instead of making the women in the games actually attractive, they just take the captures and make slight edits so it's not as apparent. Not to mention how much they change the character's personalities in the REmakes to "abide by modern standards and widen the audience". In addition, crapcom's also had documents leak showing how they are pushing the same shit all the western devs are doing in promoting more inclusivity and less "misogyny and bigotry" in their games, pandering more to the western audience than their home country. This includes deliberately making their female characters less attractive. The reason there was such a fight over DMC5 in particular was due to many anons desperate for the series to come back after a decade of being fucked over by crapcom's last attempt to westernize the franchise Many were willing to accept all the bullshit because they just wanted the original characters back, or just outright ignore the bad shit (though that may have been mark on 8/v/ silencing the criticism and "negativity").

>And holy shit the game runs so badly. It's soooo heavy and buggy.
Like I said, my experience with the launch build wasn't bad in those areas, but as HG kept adding content, they seem to have completely forgotten polishing and optimization.
I played the launch build on an i5 4690 + GTX 970, and it performed quite well back then. Current builds have become a nearly unplayable stuttery mess on that hardware. I was only able to achieve similar performance in recent builds using an i7 10700K + RTX 2070. I don't think I've ever seen another game lose so much performance over the years.

>The ONLY thing it has going for it is being able to seamlessly fly into space.
But we can't seamlessly fly into or through space, and since day one that was my biggest disappointment with NMS. Flying into space triggers a cutscene after the spaceship flies high enough, and when we're in space the backdrop is a wallpaper. Exemples of true seamless spaceflight is what we have in classics like Elite: Frontier and Elite: First Encounters where it's even possible to graze or crash into stars.

There were plenty others that saw the red flags of 5, but were silenced or ridiculed in one form or another when calling it out. The only reason why the arguments of it being DmC2 were left up back on 8/v/ were to make those criticizing the game appear retarded or in the minority. Seeing gameplay of it, it's not DmC levels of bad, but could've been much better (Dante looks like the only character worth playing).

You'll have to forgive him; he's likely undergoing a schizoid episode because he gets to sperg out regarding something that he feels strongly about but doesn't understand. If you aren't you used to looking for this kind of thing, it can seem odd, but Jill in RE3 genuinely looks like a man.

Women have narrower, slimmer facial features than men due to lower testosterone, smaller bones, and a variety of other factors that separate the sexes. If you want to make a representation of a woman (because that's what this ultimately it - not photorealism, but a representation) then you need to build the style of the woman's face in such a way that it makes the viewer think of a woman. There are a few cheap ways to do this, like having exaggerated eyelashes or making the woman wear a bow/lipstick/something obviously feminine. The pics related in the recent Baldur's Gate character creation engine are a decent example (though they were taken during a beta): the man has a wider, heavier-looking face, whereas the woman's skull is narrower and her cheekbones are raised.

>but RE3 Jill was modeled off a real woman
Who has a flat, broad brow, broad lips, and a wide jawline. She looks like a man, and it's a testament to modern society that a woman like her could be considered a model for anything.

I think DMC5 also did something weird, in that it looks like it used performance capture but wrapped the skeletons of the slightly stylized characters around real people's motion capture data. This is what makes their jaws open inhumanly wide when they yell, which was a common graphical quirk from anything involving photo scanning in the 7th and 8th console generations.

For an example with a more obvious artist's hand, pic 3 is a crop of pic 4. Open pic 3 in a new tab, and see if you can determine if that character is a man or a woman just from that crop. Really look at the details before opening pic 4 to compare. Even if you can't see the character's body, his/her sex should be obvious because the artwork was created well and made use of these subtle cues that distinguish men from women.

I didn't play it, but from what I've seen the gameplay looked serviceable but bland. People mostly hated it because it was a huge middle finger to the series, which hadn't seen a new game in a while. The Gaming Brit has an interesting video from a few years ago where he revisited DmC and MGR to compare which one had more meaningful depth (MGR is actually pretty shallow, but it doesn't tell you how much of a faggot you are for liking the Metal Gear Solid games).

"She has an ass as large as that," he said while pointing at a dump truck.
-> "She has an ass that large."
-> "Does she have an ass that large?"

"She has an ass of much largeness," he said.
-> "She has that much of an ass."
-> "Does she have that much of an ass?"

The word "of" sneaks in here because of niggers who don't understand sentence structure. You say "of" in this situation when you're comparing a degree of something - say, size - but not when you're comparing a binary quality - say, whether something is or is not a certain size.

"I'm not that much of an electrician." -> "How much of an electrician are you?"
"I'm not that good an electrician." -> "How good an electrician are you?"

Netflix is making a Cuphead cartoon.
Looks surprisingly not as shit for what I would expect from them, but the artists barely use squash and stretch. They're just trying to copy the game with modern(read: shit) animation techniques rather than emulating the style the game was going for.
As for the story it seems they're just copying most of the game, except with a girl shoved in. I think that was forced on them by Microsoft since they want to make popular characters to sell products.
I can't wait to not watch it and then hear why it's shit 3 months later.
It's not like the hacks at Netflix would even have the skills to make a traditional animated cartoon. It's just calarts with a fake film grain added.
The girl is from the DLC which isn't even out yet.
> the artists barely use squash and stretch. They're just trying to copy the game with modern(read: shit) animation techniques rather than emulating the style the game was going for.
I hear it's because modern artists have been so spoiled by computer animation techniques (and old artists dying out, retiring, or getting cancelled by no-talents so they can usurp them) that not only are there a total shortage of artist, there's nobody left who can TEACH them the fundamentals.

Calarts is the blind leading the blind just as much as it's penny-pinching.
Who are you quoting? Its not like you are capable of proving your original points outside hearsay anyway.

Doesn't make a lot of sense when is a complex question like that.
Generally i think that the AI sees a problem but doesn't give solutions, if the AI received context of for example being black on black crime it would just for example let them be by the margin of being less blacks, AI is good at seeing problems, but not at solving them because it doesn't have emotion. Emotion is the thing which lets you do fast choices like going to a food joint or selecting a number which feels right in a mathematical equation, it is needed to see good examples and other reasons too. Blacks just need to develop real grassroots to stop doing crime, they need real standards in education, stop giving wellfare to people which don't work and letting the working people get general jobs so they can generate value, this would separate them from a political and social race, so it isn't going to be done.
>but general IQ
which has increased in a lot of countries, even with the SAT example, it has been seen that it increases depending of the education and culture (and because families which value more education will get more education tools for them, look at jews), blacks normally get forced on a culture of things being "white", so they start doing exaggerated things (ironically hating themselves by not having a real culture), something which for example the japanese, disregarded by getting good stuff in all of the 20th century, this mixed with real benefits like money around working made them from one of the most violent populations genetically and socially (they have the highest rate of a gene which most people use to correlate stabbings, general violence and violent behavior to) to one of the most pacific populations. our genetics matter, but blacks aren't an homogeneous groups like anyone else, and even if they were, like the japanese, our genetics don't matter as much as we think. Aside from this, the SAT study used, just like most of these studies, are normally done on target groups and with a lot of flaws, even more when they stop doing followings and doesn't explain the reason blacks are like 90% of the time, aside from that, africa has seen good progress on places where real economics and real grassroots development happens like gambia, aside from that, the IQ theory is really dumb because most of these countries have basic governments and can do basic societies, which makes the act of putting 60 IQ (with cherrypicked data, per capita, stupid metrics and being english tests with verbal IQ, fixing those mistakes with lynn data which is biased gets you IQ from 80 to 89, which makes more sense because of being an IQ related to an educative deficit) retarded and ludicrous.
Following this, IQ wasn't to make dick measuring, it was a tool to make education measurements to see all around capacity, IQ of more than 100 becomes extremely meaningless because it's based around the general population metrics, the practice related to a lot of these tests and raw luck, even more when a lot of people lie to get solved tests, aside from this, jews should have more benefits than anyone else with this metric because they are genetically gifted if we follow this logic, something which takes the money, resources and social situations they had (which it's the reason discrimination is wrong, because it generates people which will get jobs related around fringe parts of society and a false sense of superiority made by separation, if you suck the dick of those ideologies don't get angry when they do the same to you with the same guidelines. This is the reason that judaism isn't a race, they aren't magically evil and people who are born from jewish families normally are related to the money they have thanks to those jobs like banking which were forced to do).
Aside from this, Lynn believes on big black dicks and other retarded measures, which makes him a faggot and a lying retard (that porn is for cucks who want to lie about being racist, they want to believe on the lie of being an animalistic nature and to get pleasure from a porn addiction by the value of seeing a fucked up fantasy which doesn't exist like a woman going 1000km to another part of the planet to have sex with a black dude, pure cuckoldry).

Still, don't be friends with a black criminal, if the dude has a type of behavior and starts doing spastic shit, don't get close, just like you would do if a person from the mafia started to aim a gun or do something suspicious

>Following the big news of the Microsoft acquisition of their company, Blizzard created new HR and DEI roles (human resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion) to combat their bad workplace allegations

>The news that Blizzard created new HR and DEI roles was announced over on their company blog, where Blizzard Entertainment head Mike Ybarra talked up their commitment to improving the workplace culture, under strict multi-level oversight that they hope will “rebuild trust in Blizzard.”

>Ybarra has pledged Blizzard is “measuring (its) executive and management teams directly against culture improvement” and that their “success and compensation” will be compared to their ability to create a “safe, inclusive, and creative work environment at Blizzard.” Further, Ybarra noted they’ve tripled their compliance and investigation teams and set “clear accountability for unacceptable behavior.”

>“I was encouraged in reading forums, social posts, and emails from people within and outside of Blizzard, standing up for what is right and lending us your guidance,” Ybarra said in the update. “I want you all to know we are listening, and we are committed to change.”

>He added, “These actions are just the beginning of the work that lies ahead for Blizzard. I’m motivated and excited to work directly on building the best environment for our teams, to allow them to bring their visions to life.”

>There are a host of new resources and positions being created at trying to clean up Blizzard’s reputation, both with staff and with their customer base. There are new full-time positions like a “culture leader”, a new “diversity, equity and inclusion” director, and an “organizational leader” within their human resources team. There’s also a new feedback program for staff to rate their leadership, which they’ll use to “measure the quality and effectiveness of managers.”

>Ybarra previously joined Blizzard Entertainment back in 2019 as executive vice president and general manager, following his two decade career as a corporate VP for Microsoft. The previous president of Blizzard, J. Allen Brack, stepped down when numerous allegations of workplace misconduct began surfacing, alongside a flurry of lawsuits.

>Prior to the acquisition announcement, Xbox boss Phil Spencer joined in with the other big gaming executives in saying they were concerned over what was happening at Blizzard Entertainment, and even Activision proper. Later when the acquisition was announced, Microsoft leadership were confident that Activision and Blizzard Entertainment can shape up and correct the bad environment and reputation with the company.

>human resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion director

Well there goes any dignity Activision-Blizzard has left after the acquisition

>B-But stay m-mad soyny
Soyny isn't the only company that gobbled up the woke nonsense.
Both Microsoft and Activsion-Blizzard already dived deep through the SJW rabbit hole and its already showing.
Expect every Activision-Blizzard games to be even more pozzed.

No shit it's not just Sony. Didn't you notice every other media has been getting pozzed for years? They even got to board games and tabletop RPGs. Do you understand yet what the Great Reset is all about, and how social credict score fits into it, and how the central banks are pushing this big time?

Why did OP think that anyone still cares about ActiBlizz or any of their shit games?
Why did he think this was newsworthy enough to deserve its own shit thread?
Why does he still routinely suck cocks when he's not making shit threads?
To virtue signal that they're a safe space for the 0.41% of society!
I don't think we're dealing with soycucks or underage tumblrites. These jobs are really managerial roles but with unusual titles. The responsibilities would at least be 'not being an awkward when interviewing candidates'.

There might be some virtue signaling about LGBTQIAMAPBLM. However, job offerings are sometimes posted exclusively on social media. They're trying to create a special pool of candidates with similar politics. The ones who don't have similar politics either not enthused or opposed to won't be exposed to the same opportunity.
Well yeah. The investment firms and banks that companies get their loans from really pull the strings. I think the only companies that are apolitical nowadays are the ones that aren't traded on the public stock market.
